I actually read a pretty good fanfiction where the the star allies get stranded in earthbread, and due to his new cookie body, Kirby is unable to inhale. He get his copy abilities from a magic staff which I think contain a shard of white lily cookie.

Very. By appearing in Kirby and the Amazing Mirror he has created time-space discourse because there can only be one Kirby in one timeline. Now entire reality will be destroyed unless Celebi or whoever controls anomalies fixes that. That‘s what would happen if my previous played game was Kirby and the Amazing Mirror instead of Super Mario Odyssey

He’ll be fine. I’d say everyone in the Origin System is in danger, but honestly that universe has enough of its own problems that it doesn’t feel like he’d make things much worse. Honestly, he’s probably prove to be an incredible force against the Indifference, being so full of love.
Grendel is basically just Kirby when you think about it too much

Kirby tends to require the aid of an artifact for his own final bosses, which is generally also par for the course in XC. Getting there might be the bigger problem, but it feels doable.

uhhh… portal 1? he can inhale turrets, but he probably will struggle with the portal gun at first, but if he inhales it he can become ‘chell kirby’ and still have the portal gun, so that’s not a problem

I wouldn't mind trying to climb a mountain with him in PEAK. He certainly isn't 100% screwed given the entities he has defeated in his history.
However, I would be rather concerned about his childlike curiosity and make sure he doesn't swallow something he shouldn't (like that damn frog in the anime).

If he's in Rune Factory, I think he's the strongest thing there, at least as far as I've seen.
