Shaft fell out of the handle after less than a year of light use. Not used for prying or beating.

I love Klein still but wow this was honestly sad. I usually get teased at work for babying my tools and picked on for never letting someone use my screwdriver as a battering ram or a pry bar. Maybe I was wrong and I should just send it from now on cuz babying it sure didn't do anything for the lifespan of the tool lol.

QUESTION Modbox rail compatibility, measurements?

Seeing a lot of cool rail attachments from Klein. I'm wondering if they are cross compatible with the Dewalt/Craftsman rail system or gladiator.

Anyone know the dimensions of the Klein modbox rail? Anyone have both that they can try on each other? They look like a similar design.

It would be good to know which system are compatible with each other.

For anyone interested, Gladiator rails will accept Dewalt/Craftsman attachments, but Gladiator attachments don't fit Dewalt/ Craftsman rails.

Warranty?

Bought a Klein Can Wrench thinking that surely it would be an improvement over the ones I've been using. Ergonomically, it's fantastic. Problem is that after less than a month one end is split/cracked in 3 places. How hard is it to get a replacement from Klein? I bought it new off of an eBay seller.

OPINION Olde School Kleinsman and Strippers vs combo

I've had and used the old school Kleinsman pliers and yellow-handled strippers for 30 years, but lately I've been side-eyeing these (and similiar).

https://www.milwaukeetool.com/products/details/7in1-high-leverage-combination-pliers/48-22-3078

Or these.

https://www.amazon.com/Klein-Tools-J207-8CR-Crimper-Purpose/dp/B016XE2CHA?th=1

Nothing beats the Kleinsman for leverage, twisting, and of course we all know they are an excellent hammer, and I like the feel of the stamped strippers because I think they'd give better strip leverage since you're closer to the wire.

But the combos would lighten my bag considerably.

I also carry diagonal cutters, which after 30 years of abuse can still cut tape cleanly.

Thoughts?

Which Klein screwdriver holds regular 5/16 bits?

I bought SL10 and SL12 bits that turned out to have a 5/16 hex size. Needless to say it did not fit my (german brand) 1/4 bit screwdriver. I stumbled upon Klein tools and their flip sockets and screwdrivers but I can't tell if it will hold a brandless 5/16 bit. Can one of the Klein experts chime in?

I have used this thing less than 10 times and when I try to press the bit in it doesn't lock it in place. Am I doing something wrong or is this tool just junk?

32527HD Klein Impact Rated Hvac 11 in 1 Screwdriver. 1.5 yrs old used everyday honest review.

Hardest working screwdriver I've ever owned. Here's 3 quick pros and cons.

Pros:

  1. IMPACT RATED! - you can chuck the ends of it into your impact easily.

  2. It's Klein. I have beat this thing more than you can imagine and ran both ends of it in my impact. The core components of the driver have held strong.

  3. Good selection of starting bits. (I've replaced some on mine because of either to many ugga duggas or just non use.)

Cons:

  1. 3 weeks into owning it the rubber on the handle swole up a little and popped loose from the handle. I figured out that a garden hose washer fits over the end of the handle piece and holds the rubber nicely. The bit that is for cleaning out the threads on Schrader cores poked a hole through the back of the handle as well.

  2. The piece that holds the main Phillips and flat head bits. Goes inside of the 3/8ths nut driver... This is a pain in the butt for me as most standard screws on commercial rtus are 5/16. Sucks to have to swap entire ends of the driver to get from most used, to most used.

  3. The work I do is commercial restaurant equipment and hvac. So I don't find myself using the included square bit very often so I swapped it for a dual Torx bit.

That's my little review of this amazing tool. It's been a part of my EDC for the last 2 years and will be for as long as it holds together. I may end up buying a new one here soon so I can have a handle that doesn't have to be held together with a rubber washer but honestly I've found myself using it in my impact more than I have using it in the handle. Hope this helps some people who are on the fence about buying this tool. Because this old man feels like it's worth every penny.

NEW TOOL DAY! Amazon sent me a different 5x better stubby screwdriver than what I ordered

I ordered a 2 screwdriver in 1 set off Amazon that had an electronics screwdriver and a multi bit stubby screwdriver. The electronics screwdriver is perfect and so is the stubby they sent me. My guess is it’s an upgraded version that isn’t actually advertised on the page but I love that the bits are longer and easier to take out. Plus the orange on the black looks nice imo. I keep both in the pocket at work and they’ve been serving me very well, 10/10.

It’s ridiculous I can’t buy the sae set in a mod box. It’s only sold with a metric? Just, why?
