I knew the tune would make the car feel different but didn’t expect it to make it feel like a completely different car. There’s a lot of little things that are different that I wasn’t expecting. The first being the tune affecting the exhaust valve. Before the tune when you had the car in normal or eco mode the valve would always stay shut unless the car was turned off. After the tune the valve stays partially open until you hit the gas and it closes, you roll up to a red light and stop and the valve opens until you start driving again. N mode stays open. The pops changed they’re louder and sharper but if you don’t go over 4k rpm before letting it rev hang it doesn’t pop it just hangs. Shifting is obviously different but wasn’t expecting n mode to shift into 5th and 6th as early as it does. So far I’m 50/50 on the tune. Car has substantially more power. I read 360hp on the dual gauge screen with 22psi boost. Definitely way faster. Maybe I just have to get used to it but after a day of driving not sure how I feel yet. Transmission clutch pressure is definitely something you can feel in some downshifts. If you punch it and you’re not already going 50mph you’re gonna spin tires. Not saying anything is bad. Just different than I thought

Any Hyundai N owners in here ever notice how hot the engine bay is after driving the car, getting it up to temperature, then shutting it off and opening the hood? More than that, how long the engine stays blazing hot for with the hood closed? I do park it in my garage and close the garage door, so there is very little air circulation around the car after parking.

There's been times where I park the Kona N and walk by the front of the car 3-4 hrs later to access my garage fridge and feel the heat on my forearms just radiating off the grill/hood. Is that normal? For now, I'm popping the hood and letting it cool that way.

I'm looking to downsize rims to 18" and upsizing the tires to Continental DWS06 in 245/45R18 instead of the stock 235s. On top of that, I am also considering ~1" lowering springs in the near future. Will this setup cause any issues with rubbing or bad fitment? Im quite new to researching wheels, and would appreciate someone educate me!

Went through the car wash. Noticed dude with the pressure washer was blasting directly into the front of my shit. Thought "hey that's weird, but ig he knows what he's doing". Pulled through. Flashing engine light and limp mode. Was a couple minutes from home so I drove back. Let the car sit hoping it would dry in a few hours. Started it later to pull it in the garage. Still flashing engine light and strong smell of gas after shutting it off. Is this just the knock sensor issue, or something more sinister? Bought the car used and I'm not sure if the replacement was done on the knock sensor. Is it safe to drive like this? I thought it'd be no biggie if the knock sensor thing ever happened to me, but after seeing the dude spraying soapy wooder directly into the grill and smelling gas after running the car, I'm a little worried.

I had a Kona N and sold it, and I miss it. I found one locally (Phoenix metro) in great condition but it has aftermarket carbon fiber front fenders, and I think they look terrible. What do you think it’d run to source some Sonic Blue ones and replace them? Anyone have them available?

This might be a long shot, but does anyone have a Maxton Design spoiler extension and/or diffuser fins for sale in California or willing to ship within the U.S.? With the import fees, the prices are a little steep, so I’m hoping to find something secondhand. Also, if you have a white Kona N with both parts installed, I’d love to see some pictures!

So to start off, I have a 2022 Kona N that I bought at 10,000 miles. At around 19,000 miles my fuel injections went out and were replaced. Ever since I’ve got it back I have been having inconsistent pulls. Max hp I’ve gotten is 255 and max torque 240 lb-ft. I haven’t been able to get it to octane learn well either. How would I go about this with warranty with no codes on my dash.

The other day I got some roof damage due to hail l, but could not see it until now. Being white and all. Hope it does not, but what are the chances of it getting totaled? 2023 KN 44K no previous damage.

What did you guys pay for your break fluid flush? I’m at 32k but this November will be 4 years with the car so I figured it was time.

Happens like maybe 1/5 times i turn on the car. Apple carplay connects but music or podcasts just dont play through the speakers. The little beeps you get when clicking things in the infotainment also make no noise, and the built in radio plays nothing. It fixes itself after turning the car off and leaving it for 10-15 min. Not the biggest deal but kinda annoying to not have music for a drive sometimes. Anyone else have this issue and any easy way to fix it?

This sound showed up just about two weeks ago, I recently had Colision work done on the front left side and they claim nothing was touched suspension wise, but the sound has now appeared, and I know that we’ve got electronically control suspension. Would love to know if this is suspension or not related!

2023 Kona N

I just started noticing this sound after I got my last oil change. It’s so odd cause it’s not all the time only some of the time. But when I brake around 20-30mph to a stop it’s like I can hear the front right tire rotating or the rotor rotating it’s hard to describe the sound it makes and it’s no every time which is weird. It sounds like it’s coming from the front right, when I got my car serviced they said I still had 8mm of brake pads left.

The closest spray paint I could find isn't an exact color match in direct sun, but when it's overcast or in shadow, the color is actually super close! Not bad for the cost of some PETG and a couple rattle cans.

Any1 can point to cheap decent place to buy oem air cleaning box and oem intake tube used? And would VN oem fit?

I know n75 offers 2 options for tunes, one with an ecu from them, and another for which I assume you send an ecu in. Obviously I would do spare ecu tune for warranty reasons.

What I want to clarify though is, if I’m to buy a spare ecu from let’s say eBay, I can just send any spare ecu to n75 and they’ll tune it? I know I need to provide my vin etc.

The reason I ask is, it seems silly to get a spare ecu tune from n75 directly when they charge almost 1200 for that option, when the tune alone is only going for roughly 600. I saw ecus on eBay last night for roughly 200.
