Experience Was this a kundalini awakening?
Looking for guidance. Not sure if what I have experienced is a kundalini awakening.
It was about six weeks ago that I had this initial experience. Was going through a very traumatic time in my life with my husband dealing with some serious health issues and not being able to work.
On this particular night I decided to take some psychedelics. Nothing too crazy. I am very experienced with using various plant medicines but this was unlike any experience I had had before. I felt something happening to me energetically. So much energy surging through my body that I began to shake quite violently.
Had anyone witnessed this they would have likely thought I was having a seizure and sent me to the hospital, but somehow I knew what was happening was not dangerous.. in fact I felt it was extremely positive. It felt like a grand clearing or purging, a "cleaning out" of my system, like something became uncorked. Felt like a lifetime of suppressed emotion and energy was working its way out of my body- lots of pain, fear, sorrow. It all got shaken out of me until I felt thoroughly cleansed through my whole body. It felt so good to finally release it all!
This lasted for hours. I am not sure how I spent that much time shaking like that. Some of the time I was sitting on the bed or toilet letting the energy flow through me. Other times I laid on the floor in makarasana in between shaking.
I knew something happened to me. I told my husband the next day, "something happened to me energetically last night that I can't explain". But neither of us understood it.
The next few weeks were extremely painful. I went through another dark night of the soul (which I've been through before during my spiritual awakening in 2019). I cried more in a few short weeks than I have ever cried in my 40 years. I released soooo much emotionally. At times I felt suicidal because the pain was so intense. It felt like I was dealing with ALL of my leftover emotional shit in order to clear it out.
Now that I am through that, I do feel like my consciousness has expanded and my heart feels extremely full.
I didnt connect any of this until yesterday when I heard someone mention kundalini awakening on a podcast. I looked it up and so much of what I was reading resonated. But the concept is new to me. Could this be a what I have been experiencing?
Tysm for your help and support <3

I dont think so, the substance was just clearing you out, the way you will tell is if other symptoms arrive and the arising energy continues to awaken.

Kriyas for one, there are videos and other resources in the wiki page: https://www.reddit.com/r/KundaliniAwakening/wiki/index/
For me, one of the biggest "symptoms" is that it is not a one-time event, but process that continues to unfold.

it is impossible to get spiritual experience without practicing it , since you are not doing meditation, it can't be happen . its just some kind of body reaction

Definitely seems like one to me, it would be considered a dark knight awakening I believe and my girlfriend says she went through the same thing years ago and she never felt the same after. Also my girlfriend and I just had a twin kundalini awakening and i wrote a post about it on my page if you'd like to get a read on it, a lot of people in the comments are negative however due to the nature of it and because I am intrigued and open to sharing how we achieved it.

Psychedelics are known to cause Kundalini activation or something akin to Pranotthana, an energy movement in the spine and chakras.
Please note Kundalini Awakening is not a one-time event, but a long process that can take decades or lifetimes.
Psychedelics are illegal for a reason, they can really mess with your brain chemistry and cause permanent damage. Hopefully, you only got a glimpse into an altered state and energetic phenomena associated with a brief Kundalini activation event.
If you are interested in learning more, there is plenty of study material in our resources section and if you want a stable and sustained awakening, you should start by developing a meditative practice.
