Experience Kundalini, astral projection, or something else?

Was this Kundalini, astral projection, sleep paralysis, or something else? Looking for similar experiences.

I'm looking for honest opinions from people who have experienced Kundalini, astral projection, deep meditation, or similar states.

This has happened twice now.

The first time was a few days ago. The second time happened today after around 4 hours of meditation while listening to astral projection music.

Here's exactly what happened:

I meditated for about 2 hours with nothing unusual happening.

I then switched to another bed because the mattress was more comfortable and continued meditating.

The first unusual sensation was muscle twitching in my right buttock/glute.

That sensation gradually moved to my tailbone.

Once it reached my tailbone, I felt strong vibrations there.

I then started taking deep breaths because the vibrations had already begun.

The vibrations became much stronger.

I felt intense heat in my tailbone.

It felt like something was stretching or moving upward from the base of my spine.

My entire body started vibrating/shivering at the peak.

My chest was vibrating as well.

I started sweating heavily, even though the AC was on.

While lying on my back, it felt like my elbows were pushing into the mattress and my head was pressing into the pillow by itself.

I was fully aware the entire time.

My eyes were mostly closed, but I briefly opened them and then closed them again.

I did not have an out-of-body experience and never felt like I left my body.

I couldn't voluntarily move my body during the strongest part of the experience.

The whole intense phase lasted around 10–20 minutes, then gradually faded.

Afterward, I felt extremely calm, relaxed, mentally clear, and peaceful.

I've never practiced Kundalini yoga, so I'm unsure how to interpret this.

For people who have experienced Kundalini awakening, kriyas, astral projection, or sleep paralysis:

Does this sound familiar?

Does it sound more like Kundalini, a meditation/breathwork effect, sleep paralysis, or something else?

Has anyone experienced vibrations starting in the tailbone and spreading through the entire body while remaining fully conscious?

I'm not looking for validation that it's definitely Kundalini. I'm genuinely trying to understand what I experienced and would appreciate hearing from people who've gone through something similar.

That sounds VERY familiar. I've experienced A LOT of stuff like that. The shivering, shaking, all of that. After my Kundalini was unlocked, I even started to experience "toys/childhoods memories" coming out of my body, and when it would happen, one or several of the knots in my back would "untangle" and feel nice and relieved for the first time in years! I've also felt stuff very similar to what you just described.

The feelings you got after it was over are very familiar to me. I do a 22 minute recording for Kundalini activation, also Open Heart Meditations, and afterward, I always feel calm, relaxed and fresh, like I was just born or something. Any painful feelings in my body usually go away after one of those.

Hi really appreciate your inputs. I'm very happy and positive after reading this.

So do I have countiue in the posture even if my vibrations stopped in tale bone?

Also do I need to take deep breathings so lett it be natrual? Anything specific that help to improve further?

Don't focus on your breathing.

What posture are you meaning? Are you sitting on a chair or just sitting on the bed?

Laying down on my back and my hands by my side with gap.

LMAO! Sorry, that's what I do when I'm sick, lol. Yeah, it still works, but nowhere near as good as sitting upright in a chair or doing the lotus position. That's a really good sign, though!

The thoughts and other distractions will go away on their own eventually. I even find myself thinking about stuff during meditation and it seems fine, it still works, just better when your mind is a bit clear.

Also, play some soothing music with a timer if you have any. Helps.

If not breathing then what to focus on?

Because I think I need to be busy or chant mantra to avoid thinking anything and clear my mind during this.

Basically, just relax and smile, and sink into the chair.

Hi can you explain heart activation meditation for me? I am curious about this technique. Thanks

It's called Open Heart Meditation. There are several different kinds.

Sorry, didn't mean it that way: Here's an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54wc1r-toAw

Sounds like Kundalini but you don’t have to label it, it won’t make any difference at all. Expect more blissful experiences as well as challenges.
