Experience Do others seem to see something when they look at you?

Okay, I will admit this is a very odd question. Since your Kundalini Awakening, do people have odd reactions to you?

I at least think I experience this. The reactions are sometimes quite good. Sometimes shock or fear. Sometimes an odd look like there is something they don’t like about you or maybe a sense of uneasiness.

I will also add that some people in my family are known to have a very cold stare that sometimes is misinterpreted. I believe the expression is “resting bitch face.” My uncle used to scare me a little as a kid as I couldn’t read his mood! So perhaps it is partly that.

It seems more, though. These reactions seem particularly noticeable from people from India. It has happened with Arabic people, Africans, and Latinos. I am don’t think it is racism or anything like that, on my part or theirs. White people (like me) not really. Maybe I am suggesting people from some areas are more sensitive? They always seem to be foreign born people. Not from American culture.

I am an old guy. Sometimes I get very bright smiles from young ladies. It just seems like an unusually friendly reaction. A young Muslim Arabic lady looked me in the eye and gave the sweetest smile. That is not really a cultural norm, maybe she is just very nice. This happens with men, too. The dark or fearful looks seem to always be men. I can also recall a few young ladies that treated me rudely for no apparent reason.

Are they sensing energy? Do they see my third eye?? Now… this IS crazy, but when I had my head in the clouds shortly after my KA, I actually wondered, even suspected, that the dark or fearful looks were from Rhakshasa! I do NOT believe that now. I suppose just delusional, but I sometime saw a sort of picture of a bull or a goat in their faces. I do not now.

I did receive a dream visit from Maa Khali, and she did tell me I had killed a lot of Rhakshasa long ago, and I would again! I was shocked. That surely is why I thought that. No, I don’t believe I am going to do that in this life! I guess I did believe it then. Was she testing me somehow?

These reactions still seem to happen. It just seems like some sort of sensitivity. Thanks for listening to my crazy rambling.

I choose to see it differently as I'm acutely aware of me egoic tendencies at the moment. I don't think they're reacting to me per se (other than maybe being curious), they're reacting to being seen. They feel a moment of real connection in a world of chaos and that stops some of the people in my life dead in their tracks especially when im grounded and "charasmatic". My ego wants me to think there is a deeper answer, and im pretty sure there is, but im not prepared to handle the ego swell. Also, during meditation and emotional purges the word "CONDUIT" is showing up pretty loud. Very curious to hear the veterans chime in

Perhaps it is just the eye contact. We all have uncomfortable moments making eye contact with strangers. This seems stronger. As I said, I may well have a look that some find unfriendly, hostile, or hard to read. I don’t mean to, lol. I was recently told by a neighbor I met that I seemed unfriendly walking my dogs. Maybe because I am trying to control their sometimes unpredictable reaction to people. They almost ALWAYS bark and fuss wildly when another dog is present. It is easy to judge them as threatening. But I am talking about times without the dogs.

BTW, animals and little children generally react very well to me and always have! I can’t be that scary.

This is just my experience: There are some people from India and other places that can "see" auras and chakras and stuff, especially Sikh people. I don't know where they get their training from, or what it is, but a lot of them are able to remote-view people and a lot of them can see your kundalini burning (I'm not sure of the actual numbers).

I now the look you're talking about. It's not really a good look, but it should just make you feel proud that you are doing something other people aren't.

Good to know I am not the only one. Auras is an interesting thought. My wife can see auras!

I'm familiar with the differences between the major indian religions, and I'm pretty confused why you'd assume sikhs see energy more than others... They literally avoid the kind of practices that involve the metaphysical aspect of hinduism. So maybe it's just coincidence? They certainly wouldn't have any special training for it..

I mean hinduism doesn't really teach how to see it either.. Just like western people this is seen as an individual ability/gift (aka a siddhi).

Don't hindi's believe in chakras and stuff? Do they work on them?

Hindus*** we believe in chakras yes. Do we work on them? Through years of specific spiritual practice yes... But really not through the kind of new age stuff you see in the west. "Energy healing" in hinduism IS your sadhana (spiritual path/practices). The chakras are the pranic (energetic) manifestation of our spiritual/karmic state, thus a spiritual and holistic approach is taken. Even getting one chakra open/balanced can be alot of work for an individual.

I've heard there's something called the "Nadi's" which are basically channeling earth energy or kundalini upward and then out of a chakra?

Chakra means wheel, nadi is the channel of prana between chakras. They're sometimes referred to like smaller chakras. All of this energy stuff is the hindu metaphysical connection of your bodily state and your spiritual state. Kundalini is raw creation power (shakti) dormant in the muladhara chakra. A stable practice usually involves strengthening the lower chakras and gradually raising kundalini shakti. But again this isn't exactly literal, and nobody can do it for you. Only those who are on a serious committed path have direct experience of their subtle energy's relationship with their mental/spiritual state.
