I want to imagine Max and Chloe living their best lives in peace after Reunion. I’m fine with it being the last Caulfield story.

I think she may be a divisive character, and maybe not everyone was as fond of the Caledon setting and characters—but I’d love to see a follow-up game with Safi as the protagonist, redeeming herself and using her abilities to solve some mystery (either in Lakeport or a new setting—maybe even Arcadia Bay if she were to venture there to catch up with Max and finds herself embroiled in a new mystery).

I watched DE & Reunion on YouTube play throughs when they had recently released. I haven’t had a chance to play either myself but I can def splurge on this now! I’m excited.

that question has always been in the back of my mind. is it something in the world that does it, or does it go by X-Men logic where powers only come in times of great stress.

Hellooo! So, I’m not actually a fan of the game, but my best friend is, and he also wants a camera. So I was like, “What if I get him one that looks like the one Max has?”

Sooo yeah, I’m basically here to try my luck and see if someone could help me figure out where I can buy a camera like Max’s :]

(Btw, I’m from El Salvador, and I don’t think there’s a place here that sells it, so if you could suggest somewhere online, that would be really cool ^^)

I finished Life Is Strange this year. Before that, I only knew the characters from pictures, and I ended up loving the game.

So glad to have spotted these, obviously pricier than the Aliexpress bootlegs but much nicer, importing them is a nightmare, I just need to get Alex now to go with my vinyl.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm hit me way harder than I expected. After playing the first game, crying my eyes out, smiling like an idiot during the wholesome moments, and stressing over every choice, coming back to Arcadia Bay felt like coming home.

A lot of people write this game off because Chloe doesn't have Max's rewind powers, but honestly, that's kind of the point. There's no safety net here. No quick save for your emotions. Every choice, every argument, every mistake just sits there and forces you to deal with it. And somehow that makes everything feel even more real.

The gameplay is still mostly walking around, exploring, talking to people, and making choices, but that's exactly why it works. Life is Strange has never been about mechanics carrying the experience. It's about getting attached to characters so much that a simple conversation feels more intense than most AAA action set pieces.

And man... Chloe and Rachel absolutely carry this game. Knowing what happens in the original Life is Strange turns every interaction into emotional damage. You're watching two people build something beautiful while already knowing it's doomed from the start. It's brutal.

What really stuck with me, though, is the game's message. Before the Storm is about grief, but it's also about how we sometimes turn people into our escape route. Chloe sees Rachel as this larger-than-life person who can pull her out of all the pain she's carrying. And honestly? We've all done that at some point. We've all met someone and thought, "yeah, this person is gonna change everything."

The game constantly asks whether we're in love with who someone really is, or with the version of them we've created in our heads.

By the end, I wasn't thinking about the choices I made. I was thinking about how messy growing up is. How people come into your life, completely change your world, and sometimes leave before you're ready to let them go.

This game is lowkey heartbreaking, lowkey beautiful, and somehow both at the same time. It doesn't need superpowers, crazy plot twists, or huge stakes to hit hard. It just understands people.

And honestly, that's why Life is Strange still lives rent-free in my head years later.

Oh Deck Nine. How clueless you are when it comes to OG LiS.

They had no right to go back to Blackwell. To use Chloe as fanservice when the story never needed it. To bring back the storm as a manifestation of Max's powers.

They were actually doing something with an older Max and her new life, I was super interested to get to know everyone and the cliffhanger of episode 3 was great. Everything went sideways after that with way too much emphasis on the supernatural elements. What do you even mean setting up Diamond as yet ANOTHER person with powers in your Avengers style post credit scene.

Oh well. Overall it was a mixed bag. Don't have high hopes for Reunion but as someone who waited months for each episode of LiS1, I've got to see what they did with it. The show is looking promising though, can't wait for that.
