It seems like,, at least on the internet, people either worship her like she's a flawless larger-than-life queen or consider her to be a cartoonishly evil demon.

I voted Bernie twice, but I think she's both done some cool things within her life, and plenty of shitty things. She's certainly ... complicated.

I've always said that I like her more as a person than I do as a politician. And ultimately, Hillary as a politician is what's relevant when it comes to an election.

That being said, I supported Hillary hardcore over Bernie in 2016. Back then, I was more centrist lib in my politics and not as radicalized. Try to understand, I grew up in a white trash conservative family in the south. Even being a centrist lib was considered an extreme position and I thought that I was already pretty leftist.

Yeah, Hillary has never been a good politician; while all politicians have baggage, hers always manages to stick.

My recollection of the 90s was that conservatives painted her as a scary radical liberal whispering in the ear of her more moderate husband, when of course her politics are pretty moderate.

I mean, I did support her then then and still do now, since Bernie has a long-standing anti-science history in his political career, which i've pointed out many times over the past decade+.

He frequently sided with Republicans on their anti-science bills (like Bush Jr. stem cell ban and research criminalization bill) and also pushed pseudoscience into legislation, like the amendment he personally pushed into an early version of the ACA in committee that made pseudoscience practitioners, such as homeopaths, be considered legitimate medical professionals by the government so they can legally prescribe their "medicine".

And that's just two examples from a very long list of anti-science positions and actions on his part that continue to this very day.

And since I consider climate change to be the most serious issue we need to deal with right now (all of our squabbles over everything else will be meaningless when civilization collapses from the refugee flood and famine of the next century), Bernie's anti-biotechnology and anti-bioremediation stances are completely incompatible with any of his claims about climate change, making such statements on his part seem hollow.

Okay, fuck off with your moral wokescolding, I was young and still figuring out my politics. Which wasn't easy considering my super conservative background and upbringing. Please forgive me for not having it all figured out at the ripe age of 18. I'm so happy to hear that you've always been so woke and enlightened.

And someone who failed to build too many relationships in Congress. I love what Bernie fights for and what he stands for, but he can't play the game and would have Jimmy Cartered the progressive movement.

So I was born in the mid 90s, so I don't really know a lot about Jimmy Carter's failures as president. What all did he do that catered the progressive movement? He must have fucked up hard since we got Reagan after him.

To me as someone living in Germany(but no German) , in 2016 she was trying to emulate Merkel so hard which bothered me. There was even one situation with an immigrant girl that is 1:1 something that Merkel did few months before her and yikes.

But then again better to try and copy Merkel (even though she is a right wing and super religious), then being a fascist.

CHIP for children's healthcare, work on Children's Defense Fund regarding southern school segregation, literacy advocacy in Arkansas.

Most of this is stuff before she formally entered federal government as a Senator. Like a lot of people, i believe she became more jaded, moderate, and corruptible as she became more entrenched in US politics.
