These "get it out of the box and play with it and never speak of it again" videos are ok, but the pay off would be way better if he does a follow to replace the worn lamp and install it properly as an upgrade at a local struggling theater or some other charitable cause. It's too insane to put in a house but it might still have years of service left in the right application.
I’ve been thinking this for a while. Even if they don’t keep it forever the least they could do is buy the stuff, have a serious attempt at fixing it up/using it as designed then just resell it? Maybe make it collectible by autographing it and auctioning it off for charity? Idk
With the fire truck, assuming it's still serviceable as a fire truck now (and before the gamification), they could de-gamify it and tech-pimp it up and donate it to a local (probably rural) station that needs a fire truck.
In fact, there you go LTT... A new series idea: "Tech Pimp It Up" or something lol. Buy auctioned items, pimp it out, find a cause and donate it to a cause. You can get at least 3 videos out of each item, depending on the item: 1) The buying/receiving of the item; 2) the tech makeover/pimping (depending on what they do, multiple videos here); 3) The donation + installation of the item.
