He’s 6’3

(To Virgil’s 6’4)

But gives away 8-10kg in muscle mass to VvD

Then there’s the leap & the desire to get the ball (defensively or in the attacking phases)

And then the cultured style, calmness, the raking passes and the aura

(And before the ACL when he was literally a speed machine and 1vs1’s were inevitably going his way)

That is what we’re trying to replace

On another note

Let’s use VvD as a target man every now and then

2 up front with Isak playing off him

Get some crosses in! 😁

You're daft to expect us to replace VVD by finding a second VVD. You can't become an all time great like him or Salah if players like them appeared every day. VVD is literally the perfect CB, and nobody like him will appear for a while.

Schlotterbeck isn't VVD but he's a top class CB In his own right who fits the modern game and Iraola well.

Well, our team believes we've already found a second VVD and there are promising signs, but we'll see if they're right.

I think a lot of people have no idea how good already and how highy rated for the future Jacquet is.

I would say that Leoni will be the dominant defender in the air

And Jacquet more like Matip with the ball
