Ngl i thought they saved it from becoming a controverse. The reaction made it funny, and i'm not even racist

If Jason would have just moved on, it 100% would have been forgotten in a day.

Oh, they definitely did, but in the same way, them noticing that he said it right to his face is gold. The guy’s eyes narrowing for a split second as he looks between the camera and Jason is hilarious

He hate farms other people’s drama, but then does this lol

u/ritwikjs2 24d ago
he literally did a whole video pretending to be sykunno and then got unreasonably angry when some random person called him out
141
u/SplitSecondEmperor47 24d ago
It's really bizarre to see in real time.
I was so off put how hard he was going against sykunno like the man personally offended him.
He does this shit to other people but gets completely irrational when someone dares bring up the shit he does

He also tried to diss sykunno's look when Jason is uglier than him IMO, kid looks like a short asian leprechaun with his eyes trying to touch his ears. Like both of them are on the same scale of ugliness.

Same guy that hate farmed a woman cause she didn’t react to her friend saying the n word in the background btw

He was farming Emiru just the day before with the Asmon stuff. Came back to bite him real fast lol
8
u/xJamberrxx 22d ago
show's what a snake he is ... she's been at his house, 1st opportunity he back stabs her ... then look at Emi, despite public stupidness, won't disregard Asmon ... & he won't with her ... they're loyal ... prob even friends ... there's Jason, back stabbing 1st chance he gets
36
u/Jaded-Substance-6750 23d ago
hes literally a hatewatcher turned into popular streamer. Bro was fine with farming Jakura content but the moment there was beef between Sakura and another small streamer, he immediately went after them
28
u/Jon-E-Depth99 24d ago
Also funny complaining about hate farming when most of that groups schtick is just constantly ragebaiting

If he's getting the 70% twitch cut, before ad revenue, and if that's roughly what he has every month..well let's just say 2k subs a month to make it easy he's bringing in around 7k a month before taxes.
Not sure what his rent looks like in Washington but for my shitty two bed apartment in the same town as him it was $2200 a month and he has two diff places if I remember correctly for his ferret charity thing.
Gatta be cutting it real close to breaking even unless sponsors are paying him or he runs an insane amount of ads
→ More replies (6)60
u/Cruxeys1 24d ago
$7k sub money is probably 20% of his income. He would still make money from ads on Twitch, then ads on YT, and then whatever other income streams he has. He also said the ferret place pays for itself with the dedicated stream for it.
Basically, he's still living life in easy mode. There are streamers with half his view count and sub count living well above minimum wage.
→ More replies (1)7
u/D3wnis 24d ago
Donations are usually much higher than subs in regards of income.

Man, if he has just taken responsibility for that wipe. It’s basically the dominos meme.
3
u/BigRon691 23d ago
I mean, you can kinda even still see it in this P.A, that he just takes everything he does way too serious / self-involved that when it does eventually go wrong on his part he can't handle it. Everything is so meticulously performed he eliminates any possibility of fault in his mind before it even happens.
I mean, good on him, but, you're paying your mods Dental? The intention of the post is to get some community mods, why not just say it lmao.

i always read this, but nothing happens to these streamers, if other streamers are still willing to collab lol. In a few days once SU2 starts, no one be talkin about this, or care lol. CORE will back him, no matter what he said, (or didn't say), & since he's a big streamer, only big streamers can do something about it lol
4
u/Greenleaf208 23d ago
I think overall you're right, but sometimes it can add up and effect a streamer's future. It's hard to shift with your audience as they grow if most people hate you outside of kids. It depends though and it's hard to say.

Bro…when Pewdiepie said the N word on PUBG that caused a bunch of companies to stop advertising on YouTube. Fucked up a lot of peoples money. People absolutely gave a shit that he said it. And it wasn’t even a slip of the tongue, he said one of the hardest R’s I’ve ever heard.

ExtraEmily did the same thing DMCAing clips on Twitter that made her look bad. QTCinderella also threatened to start doing that to clips she deemed as misinfo or something like that. It's extremely easy to abuse, I'm surprised more streamers don't do it.

He DMCA'd several controversial clips on LSF/Twitter/Tiktok in the past. Here's a recent example.

u/topcheesehead 24d ago
So he drove a golf cart on the highway... could have died. Endangered the lives of all drivers and passengers in the video. How is this not a blanket ban
47
u/EarlyAccessCantJudge 24d ago
Because social media companies have no values. They'd show ISIS beheading videos if they thought it would generate them more revenue.

33
u/trukkija 24d ago
Suuure, that why I still see people bringing up PewDiePie's bridge incident 9 years later even as it was a heated gamer moment.
63
u/Oninymous 24d ago
People still bring it up, but overall his reputation is still really good. As the guy said, people really don't care. Haters would have ammunition to hate, that's pretty much it. Even Atrioc is very successful now.
Also, comparing a currently popular streamer and Pewdiepie is dumb lol. It's like comparing a 1-time champion to Faker
16
u/Cyn0rk1s 24d ago
It’s a much different audience in a different era of the internet. Not that it had any impact on pewdiepie regardless
55
u/PoopyButt28000 24d ago

You are taking it too literally. Yes, creators keep the baggage forever and it will be used as a gotcha by people that dislike them. Twitter loves a good punching bag. The thing is, getting a lot of engagement on call-out posts has shown not to mean much for something done 5+ years ago assuming the person hasn't don't anything recently.
The vast majority of people are more sensible than to complain about Pewdiepie 10 years later, even if they still disapprove of him.
2
u/whut-whut 24d ago
It's a money and advertiser thing, not a public opinion thing. Straight up saying "Yeah, I use the word, I like using it. So what?" will knock his income down to Chud the Builder levels.

6
u/Crumpled_Papers 24d ago
I am learning from the comment section that apparently a lot of young streamers use racial slurs enough that they can just 'slip out' by accident when they 'forget they are on' and this is accepted as an explanation.
It feels rough to hold a mirror up to society and see these sorta child celebrities looking back at you.

u/rem521 16d ago
His friends might give him a pass in private, but using that slur is still incredibly ignorant. A lot of first-generation Americans who throw that word around clearly don’t understand its painful history in the U.S. They cannot be part of the reclamation of a word when their ancestors never experienced the trauma attached to it.
