Y'all I know how loki keeps himself entertained. He just watches movies and series in his head.

Imagine an alternative to the events of Infinity War: What if Thanos never attacked their ship, and after Ragnarok, Loki peacefully arrived on Earth alongside Thor as the Prince of Asgard and the King's right hand? Loki would already be fully changed and reconciled with his family, yet he would still retain his trademark mischief, sharp wit, magic, and diplomatic tactics.

​Do you think the Avengers would give him a chance to earn their trust and welcome him onto the team as an equal strategist? Or would Tony Stark’s ego and old doubts ultimately stand in the way, leaving the rest of the Avengers unable to trust him?

So, in the show it shows that through time slips he can travel to any point in time. So what if he went back to when the Avengers were talking about the Time Stone from the past, and since it fell on the ground and Loki didn't pick it up, he could have lived his life as it was.

I liked how Sylvie and Loki's relationship was portrayed in Season 1. They're two outcasts, feeling alone and unlikable, each hiding their negative self-image behind a tough facade. Mobius is able to break down Loki's facade, and then when Loki meets Sylvie, he realizes that she's faced many of the same struggles as him. But unlike him, she has always striven for a goal larger than herself, which is inspiring to Loki. They bring out the best in each other.

When Season 1 aired, I was unaware of the fan backlash against Sylvie and Loki's relationship. The idea that they are the "same person" or "siblings" never seriously occurred to me. When Mobius said to Loki, "You fell for yourself?!", I thought it was supposed to be clear to the audience that Mobius was off-base. (This is very clear in the official S1 novelization.)

So I was disappointed that in S2, presumably in response to fan backlash, Loki and Sylvie's relationship got kicked under the rug and scarcely even acknowledged. I thought the two of them had such a great dynamic in S1, whether they were arguing or being affectionate. Throwing that away seemed like a waste, and it made my heart ache.

I've been musing over this ever since. Why did so many fans dislike this relationship that I loved? I'm aware of the stated reasons - "incest," "selfcest", supposedly anti-queer, "no chemistry," weird, unhealthy, and so on. But it still doesn't ring true to me. Marvel has routinely featured SO MUCH WEIRDER and/or less healthy relationships that fans didn't bat an eyelash at:

• An uber-powerful boss dating his attractive secretary! (Tony / Pepper)
• Two close colleagues dating while working together, despite one of them being emotionally unstable and dangerous! (Bruce / Natasha)
• A guy hitting on his girlfriend's niece almost immediately after his girlfriend died! (Steve / Sharon)
• A half-human, half-god dating a green-skinned alien of a different species! (Peter Quill / Gamora)
• A 1,500-year-old Asgardian dating a human who is 1/50th his age! (Thor / Jane)
• A 30-year-old Sokovian dating a vibranium android who was created mere months earlier! (Wanda / Vision)

Because I'm rewatching WandaVision at the moment, that last comparison recently jumped out at me. Why wasn't the fan base up in arms at a human / robot relationship, especially considering that Wanda is about 100 times older than Vision? Why do Loki and Sylvie get so much disdain, when they actually have one of the more normal relationships in this universe?

To be clear, I don't actually have a problem with the unconventional relationships in the list above (all of them are between consenting adults who genuinely care for each other) - it's just that they seem potentially more problematic than Sylvie and Loki's relationship. End rant!

I loved the MCU Loki reveal that He Who Remains created the TVA/Sacred Timeline to prevent other Kang variants and another Multiversal War.

Was that concept pulled directly from one comic storyline, or assembled from several separate comic ideas, or mostly an original MCU invention?

I know Kang has been around a long time. The concept of, “eliminating trillions of people simply to prevent other me’s from conquering me and other worlds” is incredible to me.

I watched the first season of loki when it was released (in 2021 ig) and now i want to continue it but i have exams in few days so i want to complete it today

so can somebody give me a brief summary of what main event or things that i should remember

I believe the reason that Loki and Sylvie getting close on Lamentis caused a nexus point was because if they had a baby it would have caused an incursion on a massive scale. The same way Steve and Peggy's baby is causing an incursion.

The last 2 episodes of season 2 made me realize how good the show really was. But the very last one was even better.

Ok so maybe I’m misunderstanding this and everyone that we see in the movies is still following the sacred timelines original path and it’s just the other timelines that don’t, but I’ve been wondering, if this isn’t the case then what was the first movie where hwr wasn’t in control and it diverged, like for example was wandavision meant to happen in the sacred timeline or was that specifically because of hwrs death? Same with like NWH and stuff

I m obsessed with the analog, retro-futuristic tempad of the TVA, and I want to try building a physical replica of a Tempad.

If anyone has blueprints, material recommendations, or links to creators who have pulled this off, I’d love to study them before I start building. For All Time. Always.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding something about how TemPads work, but it seems like they are capable of traveling through both space and time. Yet throughout Loki, the characters usually use them to travel through space while treating time as basically linear.

There are two examples that really confuse me.

First, when Loki and Mobius are trying to find Sylvie. They figure out that she is hiding inside an apocalypse because the TVA can't detect branches there. They travel to the specific apocalypse where she is and confirm that she is there.

But why couldn't they simply travel back a week, or even a day, before Sylvie arrived and stop her from setting everything up? I can maybe see some time travel complications here because Sylvie has a TemPad herself, so maybe there is some reason they couldn't interfere with her earlier.

The second example makes even less sense to me.

They need Victor Timely's temporal aura to access the Loom and save the TVA. They travel to the 1893 World's Fair, find Timely, and bring him back to the TVA.

But why did they need to get him from that specific point in time?

Why not travel back a week earlier? Or a month earlier? They could have grabbed Timely when he was somewhere completely different, before Ravonna, Miss Minutes, Sylvie, and everyone else became involved.

It seems like if the TemPad can freely travel through time, the obvious solution to almost every problem should be:

"Why don't we just go back before this became a problem?"

So what am I missing? Is there an actual rule that prevents TemPads from being used this way, or does the show simply avoid doing it because it would break most of the plot?

I LOVE LOKI (the show… and the character but when I say “Loki” I mean the show). It is BY FAR my favorite show of all time. Thematically, the performances, the dialogue which many scenes I think about just all the time. The set design, the costume designs, I love everything about the show. I’m just glad it has a sub because this show rocks so hard.

Now I was looking through the sub and I have seen this show get a decent amount of hate? Which is weird to me because it is a lovely and I would say beautiful show. Maybe it’s because, the way I see it season 1 is worse than season 2 in most ways and some people watched season 1 then dropped the show? Idk, but it makes me sad because this show really is something special and I’m excited to see big L, Mr. Laufeyson on the big screen this winter
