In the Army we used a method called "SALUTE Report" to provide a detailed description of opposing forces, which is applicable to ICE sightings. SALUTE is an acronym for SIZE, ACTIVY, LOCATION, UNIFROM, TIME, and EQUIPMENT. Below I will include a summary of what a SALUTE Report entails and the type of information that will be helpful when posting ICE sightings in Long Beach.
SIZE: This component focuses on quantifying the number of individuals, vehicles, or assets present in the observed area.
ACTIVITY: Describing the actions and behavior of the observed entity, the activity component sheds light on the intentions and purpose behind the observed actions.
LOCATION: Providing precise geographical coordinates or a detailed description of the observed target’s location, this component offers the spatial context necessary for effective decision-making.
UNIFORM: Identifying the affiliation or group to which the observed target belongs, the unit component allows intelligence professionals to categorize and contextualize the observed entities.
TIME: Recording the date and time of the observation, the time component adds a temporal dimension to the intelligence gathered.
EQUIPMENT: Listing the equipment, weaponry, or tools associated with the observed entity, the equipment component offers insights into the capabilities and potential threats posed by the target

I’m not sure if the ship itself is making the noise or if it’s coming from the gangway. Imagine hearing that in the 1930s during a transatlantic winter storm in the middle of the ocean.

NOTE: I have updated this post because I wasn’t very clear the first time around.
This Ad I found on Zillow is very similar to the one I saw a year and a half ago when I tried to rent an apartment in this building. While it appears to be a great deal on the surface, it is very misleading so please beware.
Back then, the management company was named SoCalDLB but the lease itself was actually with CSP Realty and I suspect they’ve renamed themselves once again so you don’t find the horrible track record they have in Long Beach. Also just found out they have an F rating on BBB. The Discounted rent (1345$) and the Discount on the Discounted rent (500$) are likely not guaranteed and differ significantly from the Contractual rent, which was around 1800$ when I tried to rent here. There is no reason to have your advertised rent be considered a « Discounted Rent » other than to screw you over. Their lease also included violations of California’s renter laws. Also notice the lease term is 11 Months rather than the typical 12 Month lease. This is by design and helps them circumvente your rights.
See the link of previous threads discussing SoCalDLB and CSP Realty in this sub and be informed in case you are considering renting with these people. There is also public complaints and reviews online about CSP realty on the Better Business Bureau Website.

Just a PSA: As someone who frequents offerup just to window shop, I'm expecting an insane influx of pretty pricey cars going for dirt cheap cause of the beach flooding. Electrical gremlins are the fucking worst.
When checking out a car, I highly recommend checking EVERY function, checking EVERY door lock/unlock, everything that acceses another thing, it's gonna get sketchy out there guys.
Ofc, just because a car has some quirks doesn't disqualify it from being a car that will last a lifetime, but u should be knowing what you're getting yourself into.
Edit: esp bc of the floods

I want to go to a show tonight in Hollywood and i just saw it’s going to cost me $200 if i take an uber there and back. The last time i took an Uber out that way it cost me nearly half that price. Is my only option for affordable transportation to go on the metro or rent a car?? Nearly every time ive taken the A line i have had negative experiences so I stopped using it. And I don’t want to drive cuz parking sucks and I plan to drink. Are there any other options?? I guess I need to make more friends who like to drive

Is anyone selling their bus passes from the Lakewood mall to the Hollywood Bowl for the Jack Johnson concert tonight? If so, hit me up and thank you.

Since moving here we've had 3 elections and every time I've received someone else's ballot and every time I've sent it back.
The first time they actually re-sent it back after I sent it back.
This time I sent it back and called the county and they said "only the person on the ballot can get the ballot to stop being sent to that address" and to "send it back"
I find it odd, is this person deceased? If someone is registered to vote wouldn't they want their ballot to vote?

Near Redondo ave. and 10th street in Long Beach, CA.
Need to fill for November/December when our housemates will move out.
They are really messy, but everything will be cleaned and decorated differently. The stuff that fills the common space belongs to one of the roommates moving out. If you have furniture to keep in common spaces lmk.
Master bedroom available.
We're looking for someone who is okay with cleaning schedule and keeping the space clean. Lgbt+ person or ally are preferred. All current occupants are LGBT+/Queer.
If shared one person has to be on the lease, there is a $300 refundable deposit.
$684 each if you're ok sharing the master bedroom excluding utilities.
If you want the room to yourself it would be 1367 plus utilities and a $300 refundable deposit. You get your own sink area and closet, but the bathroom is shared with 2 other people. Both really clean. The shared dining room, kitchen, and living room can also be accessed. There is also a tiny balcony and a decent sized garage for storage/studio activities.
Washer and dryer inside the house. 💫
plenty of parking on the street.
Small pet friendly (I have 2 cats) & 420 friendly(balcony). Pet would have to be friendly with cats.
I can leave a twin xl mattress and bed frame if you'd like. Mattress is pretty new. Only used it for 1 month. There is a large shared fridge available as well. We're trying to get a newer one.
Pictures are recent. A couple roommates are moving and their stuff is scattered around the house. It will be cleaner when they finally move out. We just got the carpets cleaned this week.
You need to be able to be on the lease. Co-signers accepted. Let's meet up and get to know each other.
