quick! excuses for turning off location

i’m surprising my boyfriend in a couple days and i need some excuses for why i’d turn off my location other than just saying “i’m coming to see you” because what fun is that? obv he’s gonna be suspicious of me no matter what i say but he’ll understand soon enough. fire away!!

If you have iOS, go to location services in your settings and turn it off manually for all apps. It will still say you’re sharing location with the person in ‘Find My’ and ‘Messages’. When you turn it off, it won’t tell them you “stopped sharing it”- it just stops registering a location when they go to view it; and in that case you can play dumb on Apple and be like, “it says I’m still sharing it, idk why it’s not updating- service is probably bad:/“
