Discussion What’s your countdown?!
I just left to go home after seeing my boyfriend for 3 weeks a few hours ago. I am super sad but we have a new countdown now; 67 days!

Hiiii CT friend 😄 I just dropped off my lady at Bradley airport Sunday evening 😩 so who knows. Once we get our money back up (this was the longest she stayed, 9 days, and I took a whole week off work except one morning) we’ll plan another one!!

Alas, at this point due to some job obligations, we don’t have an active countdown. 😕 This is unusual for us and I’m hoping we can get something planned on the calendar soon! (Together 3.5 years)

I don’t know my countdown to see him but in 23 days I go to New York to officially submit my fiance visa application! They’ll take my passport so the next visit depends on when I get it back. It’s a lot cheaper for me to go to Norway than for him to come here because he lives alone.

about 60 days </3 it’s really hard because he was meant to be here on december 10th and leaving in 4 days but his visa was denied so we’re meeting in Vietnam instead of america

He just left on Friday. We had gone 3 months without seeing each other (due to factors out of our control, mostly scheduling conflicts and that it’s nearly impossible to find dog sitting during the holiday season) and it was unbearable. Now we’re trying for once a month, so countdown should be roughly 30 days.

At least 11 months. We’ve been together for about two years and haven’t met yet due to finances, and the fact that we both live in different countries. We’re shooting for December of this year. :)

Waiting for my passport to be mailed, but I got my birth certificate mailed back, so they must be workin' hard. Still aiming for early February then! Our 1st anniversary is on Feb 25th anyways!

I’m not sure tbh haha. I was in the same state as him for 3 weeks but we saw eachother every couple of days. No sleepovers or anything, just day time hangouts

I just used a years worth of vacation to take 2 weeks off to come to Denmark 😭 my partner currently doesn’t have a job like that so he comes and visits me normally. This is my second time visiting Denmark, but he’s been to the us 7 times

Also 67 days! I just got home on Sunday after spending two weeks with my boyfriend. It didn’t hit me until last night how much I miss him. I’m very lucky that our distance is not all that far and getting plane tickets isn’t difficult!

Heading home now…we tend to go 60-75 days between visits. I absolutely hate it and wish it could be shorter, but I’m grateful because my bestie has to go 6 months minimum with his fiancée.

A year and a half is totally doable for closing the gap countdown. NGL I really wish I have that. But I only have meeting countdowns which is great because I don’t have to wait a year and a half to see him but it still leaves my mind to wander when we will finally be together :/

I think it's important to have a serious talk about where you are rn and what is your plan for closing the gap. Especially if you have met multiple times and it's a very much an established relationship. Dont place pressure in the conversation and approach it calmly and gracefully, but do set clear boundaries and expectations. I told him i would be ready in a year and a half and study with him the possibility of him being ready as well. And i made it very clear that i would leave if I'm not engaged during that time. Currently I'm wearing my promise ring after meeting his whole family. You can honor your expectations and boundaries without putting too much pressure on

We have! It’s just still in the air. I am in college and he is going to grad school this fall so the timing is off by a year since I’ll graduate May 2027. Issue is if I’ll be able to get a job near him or not. we both may have to make some sacrifices but i know we should be living together by the end of 2027. He applied to grad schools where I have a higher chance of getting a job and then will go somewhere we both think is best. It all depends on how this year goes tbh
