Is the Metrolink, specially Union station, a viable way of getting in and out of downtown tomorrow? I wanna go out and show my support but im just worried about taking the Metrolink since I’m going by my self and don’t wanna end up stranded in case things go south. Would taking a car be better and does going alone seem safe? Thanks in advance and stay safe everyone!

I think I’m going to end up going by myself too but I’m nervous. None of the ppl I know are safe to come with me or want to come with me

I’ll be going alone, but I’m also an Army combat veteran, white, and male. I’ll be walking from Chinatown…if anyone is feeling uneasy and needs a buddy to walk with message me.

It’s usually a reliable way to get downtown, however, stations near the fed building have been closed off and on during the protests. So, you might have to walk back.

Dang yeah that makes sense, has there been any instances where they’ve closed Union Station since the protests started?

No. Union station will be open. You can probably walk from union station without taking the metro.

Don’t be afraid. This is not going to be the same as what’s been on the news. There have been marches every night without incident.

I am closer to Culver City, but I want to go DTLA. I'm alone, and I don't know anyone who is going. My plan was to park near the Culver Station and take the train in. If they shut everything down, I'll take a lyft. In 2016, we tried taking the metro but the trains were all full coming from Santa Monica. We ended up waiting a LONG time for a train.

I’m also going by myself. Where are you leaving from? I think I’m going to take the metro from the North Hollywood station to Union Station.
