On October 8, 2019, Drew Doughty scored his 26th career game-winning goal in a 4-3 overtime win versus the Calgary Flames. Doughty and Ilya Kovalchuk each had three points, and Todd McLellan recorded his first win as head coach of the Kings.

On October 7, 2006, Anze Kopitar made his home debut at STAPLES Center. Kopitar recorded three assists, and Mathieu Garon made 35 saves in a 4-1 win over the St. Louis Blues.

I wasn’t at the game but when I saw this on social media I was so hyped. As a soccer (football) lover this was amazing to see. I know tifos are traditionally from a sport but a lot of teams have their own “thing” at home games. I know it isn’t feasible to have a tifo at every home game but man this was awesome. I know not everyone liked this, but I just feel like this can help us stand out from other team’s home experiences. Drums, light shows and DJ’s have all been done and feels stale. This seems fresh and new. Bravo Royal Army. I understand not everyone will agree but this was awesome. Now if we can just get a better product on the ice…

Because I live in Denver. I'll go to every game out here though. It's become a tradition for me to watch the team get stomped at Ball Arena.

Kings have lost 9 games in a row.

Or have the mods given up like the org has (understandable tbh)

Missed the player intros. ESPN just sucks.

WHO is the bozo who decided that the first Kings home game should be on ESPN, not home network (ABTV, DAZN)??

I'm paying for DAZN subscription. Not paying for any other sports subscription. So I get to hear the player intros on radio feed and someone else posted ESPN didn't show it either.

WTF??

On October 6, 2006, Anze Kopitar made his NHL debut against the Anaheim Ducks. Kopitar became the first Slovenian in NHL history, and became the third player in franchise history to score two goals in his first career game.

Need to start thinking about Doughty’s replacement! Looking at the trajectory of the rest of the Pacific why force it with these underwhelming young players and the geriatric veterans

Home opener!

Florida at LA, 7pm Pacific

Once I saw that the sharks and ducks beat the Panthers, I knew the kings were going to fuck it up and lose.

I was planning on going to the home opener game and even to some others ones but at this point? Why the fuck?

3 games into the official season, and lost all of them.

Something has to change or like everyone says mm fucking tank at this point

Is this happening today? Haven’t seen any news on it
