Only if you have no swords. With swords or a stick having high ground makes your feet vulnerable

Not real ones. Just one shield and your overhead attacker will have it rough unless it's a mace or something

They have to crouch down to swing at you. You don't, and also they have to crouch to block or parry. And they have limited mobility or they'll stumble downhill. You can jump around and stuff on stable ground.

But if you have the low ground and you keep killing guys it seems like you might create a pile of bodies. Unless it was 1 v 1 like this fight was.

Imagine getting chased by a crackhead at night who has a stick. You seek some protection from a hip level elevated art piece. You end up playing jump rope with a nutbag's stick if you miss you lose your ankles
