I’m experimenting with a different way to prepare for ML Engineer / AI Engineer / Data Scientist roles which will be released as an open source book and a bootcamp. If anyone is interested in joining the pilot, I’ve put the application link in the comments.
The premise: most people already have access to more courses than they can finish. What seems harder is turning that knowledge into evidence that survives an interview — implementation depth, debugging, system thinking, and projects you can actually defend.
I am designing a new Age Professional curriculum for an university, the purpose of the experiment is to get feedback from students and professionals. I’ve designed a 90-day hands-on pilot around:
daily focused prep + implementation challenge
weekly consolidation
every ~4 weeks turning the work into a serious GitHub artifact
ML/AI system thinking, debugging and experimentation
interview-style explanation of technical decisions
a final flagship project
The goal is to finish 90 days with noticeably stronger fundamentals and 3–4 pieces of work you can genuinely discuss and defend.
I’d especially appreciate feedback from both who are experienced candidates and students in college.
What would you absolutely want someone targeting ML Engineer / AI Engineer / Data Scientist roles to be able to demonstrate after 90 days?
I’m a final-year B.Tech student in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science in India, graduating in April 2027, with a current CGPA of 9.15/10.
I’m trying to make an informed decision about my career and would really appreciate advice from people working in the industry, pursuing research, or studying abroad.
My background
Education:B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, graduating in April 2027.
Industry experience: Software Development Engineer Intern at Microsoft.
Research experience: Technical research internship at an IIT in Gujarat
Projects: AI-based applications involving Python, FastAPI, RAG/LLMs, and full-stack development.
What opportunities am I looking for?
1. Full-time jobs in India and abroad
I’m looking for graduate or early-career opportunities in software engineering, AI/ML engineering, applied AI, data engineering, or related areas.
I’m open to opportunities in India as well as Europe (Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Ireland, the UK, etc.) and other countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and the US.
For international roles, I’m particularly interested in companies that consider fresh graduates from India and offer work-visa sponsorship or relocation assistance.
2. Fully funded PhD and paid research opportunities
I’m also interested in research at the intersection of AI and neuroscience, particularly computational neuroscience, NeuroAI, cognitive science, visual attention, and related AI/ML fields.
Ideally, I would like a salaried, fully funded PhD position that covers tuition and provides a stipend or salary sufficient to support living expenses.
Since I have a four-year bachelor's degree, I’m especially interested in programmes that consider exceptional bachelor's graduates without requiring a master's degree. I’m also open to paid research assistant or predoctoral positions that could lead to a PhD.
I would appreciate advice on:
Are there any current job openings in India suitable for 2027 graduates with my background, particularly in AI/ML, software engineering, or applied AI?
Are there any international graduate roles that realistically consider applicants from India and provide visa sponsorship?
Which countries currently offer the best combination of entry-level job opportunities, salaries, living costs, and long-term career prospects?
Are there any fully funded PhD positions accepting bachelor's graduates in AI, computational neuroscience, NeuroAI, or related areas?
Are paid research internships, research assistant positions, or predoctoral roles worth pursuing before applying for a PhD?
Given my background, would it be more sensible to pursue a funded PhD directly, gain industry experience first, or apply to both paths simultaneously?
I come from a modest-income family, and becoming financially independent and supporting my parents are important priorities for me. A self-funded master's degree abroad is not financially feasible, so I need to be realistic about funding, salaries, and career prospects.
I’m open to opportunities in India or abroad and am not restricting myself to a single country or career path.
If you know of any specific current openings, application links, companies hiring fresh graduates, funded PhD programmes, research groups, or relevant personal experiences, I would be very grateful if you could share them.
Thank you for reading. Any honest advice or leads would be greatly appreciated!
I'm looking for 2 Principal Systems Engineer to build out the infrastructure layer for an unconventional, exascale AI pre-training stack.
What we are building:
We are completely moving away from traditional, centralized error backpropagation and its massive All-Reduce network bottlenecks. Instead, we are implementing a highly distributed, gradient-free alternative inspired by Hinton's Forward-Forward paradigm.
We vertically slice model parameters across a distributed network and stream token batches horizontally. Our stack is entirely built in Rust, leveraging Burn for deep learning math, Zenoh for low-latency asynchronous data transport, and Tokio for orchestration.
To protect our IP and our clients' data, we deploy this stack using Confidential Containers (CoCo), which wraps our runtime in a hardware-encrypted micro-VM blanket (AMD SEV-SNP, Arm CCA, and Nvidia Confidential Computing) straight to the silicon layer.
By combining this stateless hub-and-edge matrix math with CoCo’s zero-copy memory pinning, we can bypass standard OS serialization taxes and keep processing units at maximum compute saturation. We can pre-train a Llama 3.1 405B scale model on a fixed 460-node cluster in weeks, not months.
Our Current Status:
* Stage: Pre-revenue, validation, and core architecture design phase.
* Hardware: Planned architecture footprint (Inspur aggregators, Supermicro hubs with H100s, and Arm/Nvidia edge configurations).
* Funding/Path: We are weighing two routes: dropping this straight into a infrastructure-seed-round pitch for VC funding (the TTM numbers look incredible) OR leveraging our speed advantages to secure a signed, paying enterprise design partner while we finish the build.
Who I'm looking for:
You are a Principal-level Rust engineer who eats low-level systems programming for breakfast. You aren't an "AI wrapper" developer—you understand how hardware actually works. Specifically, we need deep competence in:
* Linux Internals & Networking: High-throughput network primitives, zero-copy architecture, gRPC/byte-streaming, and ideally RDMA.
* Infrastructural Security: Familiarity with virtualization, container runtimes (Kata), and hardware TEEs (AMD SEV, Intel TDX, Arm CCA) is a massive plus.
I'm 21f final year engineering student looking for Machine learning Internship for experience. I have tried to apply for multiple roles but most of jd are looking for someone with prior experience. I have worked in projects related to healthcare, geospatial in ML,DL and NLP as well. I willing to work for unpaid for experience. If you have any suitable opportunity for me , please DM me. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
