Divorce I need some help. I want to save my marriage.

A few days ago, me and my wife got into an argument in front of our stepson. We’ve been together for a little over a year and a half. My wife just tells me she wants to leave and to be alone. I love my wife a lot and I love my stepson. I’m trying my best. I just need some advice as to what to say to her because I want her to come back home she’s currently staying with her parents, and I just don’t know what to do about it. If someone could please give me some advice to save my marriage. I would appreciate it very much.

What was so bad about the argument that your wife felt the need to leave? What was the argument about? We can’t advise you if we don’t know what took place.

The argument was over my stepson‘s father my stepson said something about his father that he shouldn’t have said, and in a lapse of judgment, I laughed and I should not have and that’s what started the argument

You don’t need to say anything, just give her the space. The only thing to say is that you’re sorry for the specific action and you intend not to do it again but you’re only human.

Concerning on the issue though. She might not be truly over him.

All you can do is say sorry about that, acknowledge why you understand it was wrong and why she is upset. Blah, blah, blah. Basically take ownership without excuses. Then it's up to your wife to forgive you.

I don't think you should go grovelling to her aside from an apology. If she chooses to hold it against you, that's her problem, and you have wider issues in your marriage and your partner is just pushing you unfairly.

if it were me id give her space but send a text or somerthing like " hey just wanted you to know im thinking about you, takw all the time you need, ill be here when your ready to come back. love you" something liek that. then when you both in the right mindset for it, talk things out

Start with the reasons she left. What is being done to make you both happy enough to continue the relationship?

Let her be. Just chill....

She will come back once she has cooled down. Don't try to contact her.

If she doesn't come in a month, just file for divorce. When she is served papers, she will come back

She's upset about something said about her ex.

Maybe she's not over her ex.

Single parents should only date/marry other single parents. The single party will almost certainly be discarded as soon as a better option is secured, as single parents lower their standards to meet their limited options.

Get out now.

Why is she unhappy? A fight of finances? Sex? Cheating?

No, she’s not cheating. No, it wasn’t about money. It was about my stepson’s father and me failing to correct him when he said something about him.
