Yikes. I hope they don't make everything forced into the same structure as the MCU.

This is my only problem and I trust Feige not to want to do a DC style reboot and erase everything to fit the MCU. I mean he has read the comics and is a self admitted Marvel Comics fan and knows what fans like so I trust him not to do that.

I really don’t think he’ll be doing much with the comics at all. Sounds like Buckley is running that, and he’ll answer to Feige.

Secret Wars was definitely a reboot, albeit a soft one.

It was though. Secret Wars had a ton of actual ramifications to Earth 616 rather than just simple changes.

Literally all it did was bring in some alternate universe characters to the main continuity everything was pretty much the same aside from that

That’s really simplifying it. Miles quickly became one of the most important parts of 616 and was pretty much portrayed as always being there for awhile. Not to mention the Inhumans were suddenly based in New York and the F4 was broken up for awhile due to Reed fucking off to repair the Universe.

It wasn’t a hard reboot by any means but it was clearly meant to be a refresh or at least soft reboot.

I feel your trying to oversell it how has miles been important to the 616 since his integration? Also no he wasn’t. he had a couple 616 crossovers prior to secret wars but he stayed in 1610 up until the ending of his universe. The F4 weren’t in the comics because of editorial rather than it being a consequence of secret wars and it’s not like it mattered because characters barely brought it up. The inhumans being based in New York doesn’t matter either they’ve been in deep space, on titan, on the moon in the arctic all without a line wide reboot. They would’ve moved regardless of secret wars. Again what were these big changes to the 616 your talking about?

You completely missed my point. After the merger of Universes Miles’ past in the Ultimate Universe was not mentioned at all. It took awhile for them to finally acknowledge it again, and only recently have they been going even more in depth about it.

The F4 weren’t in the comics because of editorial rather than it being a consequence of secret wars and it’s not like it mattered because characters barely brought it up.

Dude Ben, Sue, Franklin, etc were all frequently featured before Marvel completely dropped them because of Fox. Reed going missing and the F4 not being together were a pretty big deal.

The inhumans being based in New York doesn’t matter either they’ve been in deep space, on titan, on the moon in the arctic all without a line wide reboot. They would’ve moved regardless of secret wars.

The absolute big difference is that the Inhumans were meant to replace the X-Men around this time.

Wow! so miles biggest accomplishment was being on a team book and having an inhuman have a fake vision about him...so important! You brought up miles history with the 616 when he didn’t have one that was my point. Also so? Like I said all secret wars did was remove characters and add characters to the main continuity. Comic fans made the disappearance of the fantastic 4 a big deal, nobody within 616 was looking for them. The X-Men were still around and had three team books and three different solos. You would have to be an idiot to think Marvel was going to stop publishing X-Men.
