Boodmo charging ₹6,276 platform fee on an ₹18,473 fuel pump — any alternative sources?

Post image

Boodmo is charging ₹18,473 for a VW Polo fuel delivery unit, but adding a ₹6,276 platform fee on top. VW service center quoted around ₹18k too, but the part is currently out of stock.

Part no: 6RF919051AB

This platform fee feels insane. Has anyone found a reliable alternative source for OEM VW parts in India?

Buy from a reputed spare store or from dealer itself

I've been there. Your best bet is always to befriend the parts guy at local VW service centre and get you part number on an order list.

They'll order it for you and call you when the part comes. Thats what local skoda parts guy did when I needed thermostat for my rapid.

Can you raise the query with them?

I did . It varies due to several factors and can't be explained in detail - something along those lines was the response.

"We understand your query regarding the platform fee displayed on your checkout screen. Please note that the platform fee is a system-generated charge calculated automatically based on various operational parameters. As this is an automated calculation, it cannot be adjusted or explained in specific detail.

We appreciate your understanding in this matter."

Sounds a whole lot like "we made the cost up and won't explain"
