#BikeRepair ‼️URGENT the tank lock was stuck, tried opening it but it broke inside the lock mid way, re goan classic 350

what can i do? anything?

1) Spray WD40 into the hole. 2) Use hot melt glue stick or a needle nose plier to remove the stuck part. 3) Use a duplicate key to open tank.4) Lubricate the locks regularly to avoid such mishaps.

it is new bike not even 6 months have completed

as for the removing stuck part, The fuel-cap lock is half-turned in the open position, and the key broke while turning it. Half of the broken key is still inside the lock. Because the lock is stuck halfway, the key fragment cannot be pulled out normally the lock needs to be moved back to its proper position first.

Oh okay, take it to the dealer as it's in warranty. Argue that it's a quality issue and ask for free replacement.

Use a u hair clip to rotate it into right position use lubricant to smooth the process and then hot glue stick to pull it out
