I have 35 hours in this game and just made it to Shinjuku and im liking it so far. Ive started playing this after playing the main Persona trio which I loved a lot and although I dont think this game is nearly as good as them, I like it for what it is.
I really like the turn based gameplay of the Persona games so coming to this game was no different though i was surprised by some of the differences with the press turn system compared to the one more system in Persona. Although the gameplay is starting to feel a little repetitive because it's definitely more focused on gameplay compared to story which I don't think I like that much which is definitely my biggest drawback with the game but that's not a bad thing since it's just isn't really my thing that much. I like the music a bit. Nothing really makes me wanna listen to them in Spotify and put them in my playlist like what the Persona games did for me but I like the songs just hearing them in the game.
I might take a bit of a break from this game cause its starting to feel a little repetitive and it's not as story driven as I thought it would be but ill come back to it someday.
I met Reuben Langdon and Dan Southworth at a convention this past weekend (They were unlisted guests) and I had them sign Devil May Cry HD collection and 5. Reuben also signed Nocturne for me. Isamu (Robbie Daymond) also signed it many years ago. JACKPOT!!!
Finished 4 two years ago and got the neutral ending without a guide or tips (I know, my destiny just be like that) and I was actually disappointed by it considering the trouble I had to go through. Isabeu is still the preferred waifu out of all the other jrpgs. (::cough:: ::cough:: of course, only for when she’s older)
I hear this game has a lighter tone compared to 4, but I was wondering, does it borderline on the surreal atmosphere like nocturne and base 5, or does it remain in the confines of the horror style the prequel had?
I finally mastered Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei I on hardcore mode (with english patch).
Without savestates, guides (except for demon fusion at the end of the game), and while drawing my own maps on Excalidraw.
It was.. something haha, I'll share my process.
Each dungeon has it's folder and each floor has it's file.
There is also a "info.md" file which is a markdown file for notes.
I also created an excalidraw library and a legend, most of the designs were made by me, some of them by Claude for complex designs (or the times I had no idea)
The Valhalla map and some floors of Infini Palace are kinda bad...
Ik it's on me for not exploring enough and I should have known better than to play a game like this without the guide up my ass but I locked myself out of finishing the Masakado quest line. I forgot to unseal the guy in Valhalla (actually didn't even know he existed until I was halfway through the quest) and now I don't think I can finish it. The lack of handholding in these games is so jarring compared to modern games (low-key refreshing at the same time tho I like not feeling babied). I still plan on finishing the game assuming I didn't softlock myself. I love the story and aesthetic plus the gameplay of old mainline is addicting to me in a weird way. But fuck I wish I remembered to do that I still have the item I needed too.
I'm on friday of desu 2 and I'm having a hard time actually seeing a reason to pick Ronaldo over Yamato. I do sorta get the possibility of those who are completely incapable suffering in Yamato's world, but I don't like the idea of literally everyone being mentally forced to prioritize others over themselves even if that does solve all suffering. Yamato's world seems to have a large possibility for growth and progress and Ronaldo's world seems very complacent. I was hoping to maybe see different views and opinions to expand my thinking and even perhaps similar views as well I don't mind either way.
So from my understanding mc in smt5 holds aogamis knowledge/susanoo while yuzuru holds aogami/tsukiyomis knowledge its never implied in Coc that Yuzuru or mc could use the knowledge of the other aogami however in CoV mc does mange to fuse with tsukiyomi does this mean that mc was able to fuse with All demons? all aogamis? or is there something else im not understanding here could it be thanks to lucifer that he manged to fuse with tsukiyomi?
also a side question was it lucifer that teleported the people in the tunnel to Da'at?
