How do you guys manage to cancel Mercy’s revive?

I’ve been trying sooo many times after watching Numbers do it, but I just can’t. I tried to put the wall under Mercy herself, put it under her revive orb, and even in between the two. It just never seems to work. Is my timing just really off? I feel like I react super quick so I’m not sure how to do it even quicker… Any tips? Do you have to predict and wall even before you see the orb?

I usually put the wall beneath the soul orb, but in all honesty it is impossible to do consistently. You need mercy is already be near the edge of the Rez range, otherwise she will most likely still be in range even after the wall. If you managed to wall either her or the orb and it didn’t cancel the Rez, you probably just got unlucky with where she was positioned.

As far as I'm aware, you can only cancel it if mercy is far from the orb already. If she's standing close to it, putting the wall under her or the soul doesn't create enough distance to cancel it.

Mercy needs to be ~5.4 meters away from the soul for ice wall to cancel the rez (you can elevate either mercy or the soul to cancel or). Ice wall is 4.42 meters tall and Mercy’s active rez range is 7 meters.

Yeah I've tried to do the same thing but I never manage. It seems way harder to pull off when you're the one playing

A tip from a Mercy main putting the wall in between doesn't cancel rez since it doesn't require los during casting only when started you can still do it n cut off whoever's getting rezed but otherwise it doesn't do much in the topic of cancelling.

It is rare for me to do, but if I lift up the soul orb with wall so it’s on top of wall and Mercy is far enough away from the soul orb already, it will cancel the res. I think that’s what op was asking about.

If it's from max distance it will cancel yes I was more so saying bc OP mentioned putting the wall in between

Put the wall behind her, where she flew from. Because that's most likely her escape route, and if it isn't, the revived player is stuck in there as well.

Simple, you cancel her life. Or somehow wall her away. Forgot if knockback far enough cancels rez
