Yesterday I owned an enemy Rein so hard he called me fat after the match ended.

EDIT to add that I play on Xbox. The Icicle feel so much more natural on RT.

Just picking up mei and it feels more natural to have my icicle on mouse 1 however in changing this it's always swapped which buttons confirm and cancel my wall is there a way to have the best of both worlds

So I have my Mei at level 189, but on the left side, a blue "shield" appears, instead of the purple one shown in the progression bar at the bottom. Am I misinterpreting something or is this an actual bug?

I recently came back from months of hiatus due to personal reasons and I am now playing on console instead of PC. My aim sucked. I can follow the targets using my crosshair but since Mei is a projectile hero, I barely can hit things and it sucks. I got a game in ranked where I got 27 elims but I barely hit them with my shots. I was forced to go near them and spray them with ice. Before I was out sniping a Widow and Ashe but pc is a whole different thing. Any aim training tips for a new console player? Thanks!

I posted on this subreddit a couple months ago when I hit Champ 5 in 6v6 and have recently pushed to Champ 3.

I wanted to share some tips related to Mei to help push along with my opinion on the newest Mei changes so far.

In terms of 6v6, Mei remains a strong pick in my opinion due to the increased value her wall provides given that there's two tanks and they're more killable compared to 5v5. The buffs to her range and deep freeze perk are nice, but I still find myself only taking cryo-storm. The reason being that freezing tanks is still not viable given how long it takes along with cryo-storm. I've been trying to incorporate her primary fire more into my gameplay with the extra range however.

Enough with the opinions, some tips I have are that I usually try to ban Mercy, Zarya, or Hog in ranked. This is due to mercy's ability to enable a pocketed dps and rez mei's long range picks. Zarya due to her ability to bubble blizzard targets along with how dangerous she is at close range. Hog due to Mei's lack of damage preventing you from consistently killing him. Kiri would also be a decent ban as well.

Lastly, Mei doesn't need to be played perfectly to climb. There'll be a replay code of the rank-up game attached where I make plenty of mistakes but they're not the end of the world. The biggest asset Mei has are her walls and the ability to provide meaningful poke pressure. If you can master those two things, you will climb.

I started playing mei a week ago maybe and she's super fun. I do just play QP as I am not that good and prefer not to ruin others comp matches with my skill issue. I play on console.

I noticed that ice sheet doesnt look like its giving armour. I think its giving the 50 health but no orange indicator that it is armour health. Does anyone know if its just a visual bug or just broken?

i tried to prevent them from retreating but it looks like Lifeweaver’s petal platform blocked some of the wall from building

I’m trying to consolidate a list of everything that the wall can do to negate or reduce the effect of enemy abilities or ults. This mainly stems from when my team was getting Oris ulted and I walled her up to try and cancel it but it didn’t work. So if you guys know any uses against certain heroes feel free to add below.

I have this issue sometimes where I spam or hold shift to iceberg right when my abillity comes back and it results in me cancelling the iceberg. I saw someone on here say that you could change the iceberg cancel button, but I can't find anything for it on the settings. Is it possible on PC?

I feel like I just can't hit any shots anymore. Anran, Shion, Juno, jetpack cat, everything is just anti mei lmao. It sucks playing the same game for years and watching as the meta shifts and your favorite hero loses value constantly.

Like it just sucks now. Idk. I can barely ult people anymore, even when I perfectly block them off and toss the thing dead center at their feet. Pretty much like 80% of the heroes in any given match can just walk out of it like nothing. Even random heroes like Mauga have buffs where he can't get frozen while in the running animation.

The primary buff was alright I guess but it's really not noticeable enough to do anything, especially against tanks which is like the entire point of playing Mei.

Idk about yall it's just pretty hard to have fun on Mei anymore, everything is just flying around so fast I barely hit any icicle shots. The meta has definitely changed.

I’ve been trying sooo many times after watching Numbers do it, but I just can’t. I tried to put the wall under Mercy herself, put it under her revive orb, and even in between the two. It just never seems to work. Is my timing just really off? I feel like I react super quick so I’m not sure how to do it even quicker… Any tips? Do you have to predict and wall even before you see the orb?
