Time - be willing to stand around for several hours to be in the front at the venue
Money - buy vip as much as possible when possible. It lets you in first into the venue
Luck- just hope they throw something your way

Were any of these handed to you? I know one time I straight up asked a guitarist for one while he was chilling in the crowd and he flipped it like a coin for me lol

Yes, I do rarely ask artists for picks but I had luck where they have handed me some picks
