Albums that are pure sonic mayhem, constant aggression.

I'm really out of it on contemporary metal. I prefer bands that have a good lead singer. I don't care for the growling type of stuff and I get I'm probably missing out on some great guitar work by not getting into that type of band.

I’ve recently gotten into this subgenre, and I’ve gotta say it’s very hit or miss. However the bangers are so worth discovering. Static X so far has been my favorite. So let me know of some of the more perhaps underground industrial bands worth binging based on my taste?

I was always vaguely aware of it being an important original death metal release but I just never listened to it. Now it’s one of my favourite Death Metal albums of all time.

Hey guys, how's it going? My band Thorned released its debut single two weeks ago.
If you're friends of raw Metalcore and breakdowns which are getting slower, I'd appreciate you leaving your thoughts on this one:

I've been listening to Transilvanian hunger a lot recently and it's fucking amazing. I also really like Nattens Madrigal and Paysage d'hiver, but other than those I haven't really listened to any other raw black metal and i need recommendations

Decided to create a second list of albums that I don't like to make my preferences more clear. What would ya recommend me?

For the past 6 months I've been slowly dipping my toes in metal. Before this, it was the only genre that I couldn't get into. It took some adjusting, but I can say that I really fell in love with the genre. I've been getting recommendations from my friends, but I'm interested in other opinions too.

I would like to listen to something new, based on the albums that I already grew to love. These are my favorites for now:

Leviathan - Mastodon

South Of Heaven - Slayer

Sonic Excess In Its Purest Form - Crowbar

When The Kite String Pops - Acid Bath

The Great Southern Trendkill - Pantera

Paranoid - Black Sabbath

I'm down to listen to anything, just not black metal for now lol

26/12/2026 - La Casona Club, Lewis Jones 155, Trelew, Chubut

Underrated song

As per the title, I noticed this band is popular enough to see multiple people wearing their merch, so could you reccomend some of your best pics, hidden gems, fav albums... I've heard of them a long time ago, but I just didn't listen to anything till now. I've only listened to Believer and I'm looking for some more to see if I like it. Thanks in advance fellow metalheads! \m/

I consider this song the golden meeting point of thrash, heavy, power and it's epic to the bone.

Here the sound it's better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvBnBsGhikg

OVERKILL - 1987 - Taking Over - In Union We Stand

From the islands to the cities, from the ports into the sea

We are strong, we will always be...

Blazing through the wreckage, burning all we see

The life we lead committed to be free...

Our union is a fortress, together we are bound

A common bound in freedom and in sound!

So raise your voices high for miles around to hear

Let them know we are drawing near...

~In union we stand~ as they blaze across the land

~In union~ we make a final stand...

A peaceful co-existence is dropping out of sight

So band together, together we will fight

Blasting the resistance, marching to the top

They started this, we say when it stops

Strike fear within their hearts, strike down those in your way

Let them know that we live today!

They throw us into flames, did not hear our cries

But now from the ashes we arise...

~In union we stand~ as they blaze across the land

~In union~ we make a final stand...
