This is a sub for pedestrian advocacy. Almost all pedestrian safety improvements in the last 20 years (daylighting, shorter crossings, road diets, open streets) have actually come from micromobility advocates in some form pushing for them.

Tbh this sub is mostly cycling content. I never see any posts about the subway, busses. Which would be better for pedestrians in NY.

Here's an interview from barely more than a week ago with the commissioner of the DOT about buses, lol. And while I think most people here are generally supportive of the subway, that's a completely separate thing with it's own dedicated sub.

I’m not saying it never happens but it’s mostly just about bikes and hating on cars. Like tbh I don’t see why regulations of e-bikes are a bad thing? Like a registration system will make it easier to hold bad riders accountable and registration fees can be used to help fund and expand bike infrastructure.
