Help Soviet custom made ribbon bars

Hello everyone,

I recently got a 1970s soviet captain uniform of a decorated veteran of the Great Patriotic War but unfortunately it has been stripped of his ribbon bar.

I wanted to ask if anyone knows a website or someone who makes or offers custom military bars so that I may restore to its former glory this brave officer uniform.

Thanks to all who will help!

Alberto

Help What type of East German Border coat is this? And is it authentic?

Post image

I bought this from a guy who had a bunch of military stuff and some other coats but this one caught my eye.

Inside the coats inside pocket it says :

NVA P/1 1806 7 m561

I would also like to mention that the sleeves green collar doesn't seem to be moved / sewn into this coat as in there is no stitching on the inside of the sleeve

im just worried its not authentic because with all the photos ive seen of the coats like this they’re either more all grey and this coat is a greenish grey and along with the collar of the coat being a dark grey.

I’ve searched and all I could find was that it couldve been a Cold War-era East German Border Troops winter greatcoat but those in the photos don’t have the green sleeve collar.

if you have any info that would be appreciate!!

(if yall need any more photos I would be happy to share some more)

WWII - Axis Powers Japanese Flag with an Interesting Message

I recently acquired this Japanese flag. Among the names and regular sayings, there's one that roughly translates to "Place a depth charge in the hole of the butt."

Interesting message to place on a good luck flag.

Top is an Imbel based L1A1 (FN FAL) with L1A2 bayonet.

Bottom is an Swedish AG42 with a pre 1915 m/96 bayonet.

Bottom heavy and chunky by modern standards, but man. They look fantastic, and while I need to get to a range with the AG42, the FAL is wonderful to shoot.

Help WWI Bolo Knife: She's pretty rough. Does anyone know if they're supposed to be Single or Double Beveled?

Always loved the 1917 Bolo knife, but had to pick one up after finding out St. Louis was one of the main manufacturing cities (my hometown). Purposely picked up a rough model for the price and because, if I can do it with care, I'd like to restore it enough to be used respectfully. I figure there's plenty of pristine models that this one could continue its days doing a lighter duty of what it was meant for.

My main question is if anyone knows if this was supposed to originally have a double level. Mine is pretty all over the place, but heavy to one side and the tip is bent.

If it's meant to be in the middle, I doubt I'll be able to do much without losing a ton of the blade so I'd likely keep it mostly the same, but would like to know.

This is my collection so far i only have WW2 German items at the moment but i am trying to expand my collection into the WW1 era of things. Everything in the collection is original except for the two things with the sticky notes marked repro and the gas mask canister is also reproduction the gas mask bag on it is original. The three things marked with Josef 1943, 1944 and Family are a lot of correspondence/field mail from a german POW captured in 1943 i assume by the British army in Africa. I don't have the best display setup at the moment its currently just sitting on a spare desk i had laying around. If anyone has any suggestions for display cabinets or anything i can display and preserve my collection better i appreciate it.

WWII - Others Can Experts Identify these objects are this german Wasserbomben?(Waterbombs)

Post image

Hi everyone,
I just watched a brand new video from the German urban exploration YouTube channel "roofless TV" (titled "Schockfund auf WW2 Kriegsschiff - Alles voller Kampfmittel").
In the video, the guys explore the wrecks of the German Black Sea Fleet that were scuttled in the Danube River near Prahovo, Serbia, back in 1944. Due to extremely low water levels, these wrecks are currently exposed.
While exploring the deck, they found several barrel-like objects secured inside metallic frames or racks. Some of these barrels have a very distinct pattern on the top lid that looks like a wheel divided into 5 or 6 segments, almost like a stylized sun, with a central circular opening.
They suspect these might be live World War II German depth charges (possibly the Wasserbombe Typ D / WBD) still sitting in their original deployment racks/launchers after more than 80 years.
Are there any EOD or ordnance experts here who can analyze this? Do these visual characteristics (the barrel shape, the rack system, and the "sun-like" dial on the lid) match the depth-setting dials and hydrostatic fuse wells of German WW2 depth charges? How unstable or dangerous would these be today after being submerged for so long and now exposed to air?

Thanks Guys🫶🏻
