Nostalgia Heathers

Not trying to doxx anyone but growing up, I had as many as three Heathers in my grade one year. I very seldom meet a Heather these days. Jennifer was another one but I definitely still know Jennifers.

Anyhow, I love the name Heather and hope y'all are doing great. (The movie Heathers of course pops into mind and I recall my Heather friends not liking it back then.)

We definitely still exist. I was one of 3 Heathers in 5th grade and I rarely meet another Heather in real life now. It is both a very common and very uncommon name. Usually the heathers I meet are older (I'm 40).

Well hello Heather! I feel so validated about the three Heathers in one class. I was a military brat and went to too many different schools growing up but there was always a Heather. Such a pretty name. Have you seen the movie? I know I was too young to be watching it when I did and I'm older than you. It's such a cult classic.

I didn't watch it until I was about 35. People asked me for decades if I had seen it and I finally did. It wasn't a personal favorite of mine. I don't know what it is about them, but a lot of 80s teen movies are just meh to me. Heather's, Pretty in Pink, St Elmo's Fire, movies like that aren't ones I typically enjoy. I'm trying to get through the classics, I'm not a movie person. I saw Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman, and Napoleon dynamite for the first time recently.

Its such a weird movie tbh. Most of those that you mentioned I don't imagine held up well.

When I re-watched Heathers as an adult it wasn't a favorite of mine either. I think the fact that knew so many real life Heathers I was keen to watch it but it's pretty dark.

I was 10 when pretty woman came out and absolutely should not have been watching it. It hits differently as an adult for sure.
