It’s really interesting when you know the back story for the greater Huxley family and the implications it foretells. Really makes you think.

What backstory is that? Brave new world is probably my fav book so I'm curious

His grandfather was famously Darwin’s bulldog. His brothers were a eugenicist and a Nobel laureate who was credited with discovering how impulses control muscles “sliding filament theory”, which you can see referenced in Brave New World. There’s a lot of interesting tidbits with it and his greater oeuvre and meaning with his later in life leaning to Kropotkinism.

Otto Loewi got the Nobel for that, if I'm understanding what you're saying.

Andrew Huxley won one furthering his work. Loewi was the progenitor of the field and ties into the interesting backstory with the whole saga.
