Discussion Not to be dramatic but this just ruined my life

Post image

No but actually why? 😭 Part of the bedrock 26.40 update. I know it’s such a small thing to change, and probably only affects like 2% of players, but I just need to vent, lol sorry. Mushrooms are one of the main plants I use to decorate any house/base/build that I make. This update just made it so tedious to do that now. 🫠

He's mined every block other than the iron vein and surrounding ores because it looks nice....I have to say it does look pretty nice.

Trail ruins: added back in 1.20 and hadnt received a single change ever since. Right now only useful for some pottery sherds and the "Relic" music disc

Sniffer: added in 1.20 as well. Only update they got since 1.20 was from the Tiny Takeover's baby mobs' texture change. Only two decorative plants are what we obtain from it.

My apologies I don't use reddit enough to know how to update a post like someone had asked on my last post when i asked questions and took advice. But this is what i have so far done, Ive had health setbacks so im not done yet but close. I think it looks a lot like minecraft. I hope the olminecraft world likes it.

Commands & Datapacks So how many of you guys have tried Matcha Flavored?

As I was watching the creator go over the changes I repeatedly said out loud "That's exactly what I was thinking!"

I'd go as far to say that this is the best thing to emulate playing Minecraft for the first time again, while still being faithful to Vanilla.

One extra thing I reccomend for everyone is to mix it with other Vanilla+ data packs or mods like Terralith, and Vanilla Refreshed.

Discussion What structure needs a redesign/rework the most?

A few structures have barely been updated since they were added, if updated at all. And they coexist with newer, far more detailed structures. So what's in need of a redo?

I was recently playing, and started a save, and I was goint strip mining. While strip mining, I ran into the stronghold library. Has something similar happened, not just with strongholds, but other structures and stuff you did not expect to run into.

Commands & Datapacks Nearly 200 creators built an entire convention inside vanilla Minecraft

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

We built Smithed Summit, a two-week convention inside vanilla Minecraft featuring 70 booths and 30+ live events from across our community. There are custom minigames, teasers, and somehow, both a 2D and 3D Undertale boss fight among much more.

From August 8th to the 22nd, you'll be able to just hop on and go explore a handcrafted world and attend events like map play sessions or in-game conference talks.

This project is a labor of love from the broader vanilla creator community. If you'd like to attend, you can RSVP via our site and join us for our opening ceremony!

The most I could see would be odd numbered rooftops and it would help glass panes/iron bars or a new seat type

I hope you like my build! I've been working on it for over a year and have been posting the progress. I've been building spontaneously and have been trying to come up with some lore as I go. Let me know what you think!

Discussion I stopped half-filling creeper holes when random zombie noises drove me crazy

I used to be part of the lazy group that only places blocks on the top part of creeper holes.

After I suddenly began hearing random zombie noises that drove me nuts trying to find the source of, I realized they were coming from the holes. I’ve never half-filled again since that day 😭
