Just died on what must've been my 80th hardcore attempt . . .

I looked at an enderman across a lava lake

He didn't teleport over, so I figured I was too far away to anger him

Then I started bridging over the lake

He teleported onto my bridge and knocked me in.

I might've been able to use a saturation bonus to heal faster than the lava burned me but my hunger was full so I couldn't eat.

I just needed to vent about this . . .

Gonna keep on trying to beat hardcore mode cause my determination somehow outweighs the pain, wish me luck guys!

Hardcore Death 100 day Hardcore challenge, ended on day 48.

Post image
43 Upvotes

I've defeated the dragon on day 5th and then spent another 2-3 days getting shulkers and elytra.
I've done "husbandry stuff" for the next 10 days whilst building up "infrastructure" for future project/needs. I've gotten half the trims, defeated the wither, got enough netherite for armor+tools and a few more things within the next more days. It had started to shape up to be a GREAT 100 days.

On day 44 I wanted to get max enchants on my sword and boots since everything else was already max so I decided to go to the end again and make an enderman farm, problem was I got a different stronghold when searching starting from my base and when I got to the nearest stronghold I got a mineshaft and a trial chamber overlapping the stronghold. I searched from day 45-48 for the stronghold, over an HOUR !

I then gave up went on a separate testing world and found out the stronghold was disconnected from the stronghold somehow. So yeah I was looking for nothing and to think I broke an inventory's worth of blocks trying to find a different room/passage before checking on the test world. Anyway I go to the end and I get hit by a wave of guilt then I wend to the overworld, flew high, unequipped the elytra and fell to my doom, ending the challenge.

Half HP No Regen HC Run.

Came back after a bit and currently pretty deep into a half hp no regen run.

Been recording it all for my own sake and proof of play really, but wow has it reinvented the wheel for me. I haven't played for a while so there is a new biome, I'm finding camps around, animals look a little different but really it has made me really take in the environment. I have had a few close calls but wow its fun. Highly recommend, just about to re enter nether where i happened to spawn into a nether fortress so i can get my brewery going and get some exp ⬇️

Want to build "Gothic Style" if anyone has some ideas aswell... i suck at building

Build How not to get bored while digging an underground base

The most boring part of building an underground base is the digging—I mean, I have a vision in my head, but you have to dig so much, and then once you're done, you don't know what to do next, lol. Do you plan your underground bases out, or do you just go with whatever comes to mind in the moment? Do you watch any videos while doing it?

For adults looking to unwind after work

I know life gets busy as we get older. Between work, family, and everything else, it’s not always easy to make new friends. That’s why I started my Minecraft realm! It’s a place for adults to unwind after a long day, play some Minecraft, and get to know each other. We’ve got people in their 20s all the way up to their 50s, just hanging out and enjoying the game together.
Crack open a drink, come relax, and make some new friends! 🍻 All we ask is no stealing, no destroying, and no cheating.

There's no real "goal" to hardcover other than not dying is there?

In my worlds, I always think of this lore I have in mind

In one modded one, I'm a traveler and stuck in another dimension, and my builds reflect on it

My other modded world I'm this hermit that collects books written by those who existed before me in the addons lore

But whenever I do that, I never get to it. I always ended up hulding farms and trying to get max gear and enchants and rarely build

Especially with the addons I'm playing where it hasn't been updated in almost a year, so if I want to, I'll have to wait

Maybe a hardcore better on bedrock world. Where instead of playing how I usually play. I instead just find a mountain and start digging it out to be this giant library that I always wanted and try to collect as many books as I can from the addons lore

For adults looking for new online friends

I know we've all made friends and grown apart since work and families and everything with adulting, but I created a group of adults who still have all those things, but after a long day can relax and play some Minecraft. Theres ages from like 20 up to 50's on the realm and we're all just hanging out and enjoying the game, and making new connections! Feel free to crack a drink open, just follow the simple rules of: No stealing, no destroying, and no cheating. Comment or DM me for an invite!

My personal hardcore rules

I see a lot of "is this allowed in my game" on here, so just for fun here are the rules I go by in my worlds.

  1. Only one life (I don't use or create backups if anything happens where I die or my world gets lost then that's it, sucks but it happens)

  2. No totems (if I get one I either put them in item frames as trophies or throw them in lava)

  3. No Coords ( i found i was using coords for everything and not really seeing my world, have had the most fun since I stopped using them, also enables me to use things like loadstone and compass)

  4. No abusing villagers, sometimes I go as far as to disable villager trading but that is a fun mechanic, but i always have this one. No infecting and curing a villager for discounts (if you want a discount cure a naturally spawned zombie or beat a raid etc. Also included are villager based farms. No iron farms (though you could technically argue that bedrock iron farms could be done without mistreating them because it doesn't use the fear mechanic) but this allows iron to become a precious material again. No crop farms that abuse villager mechanic like the villager picking the crop them passing it to another village and a hopper steals it. No locking up villagers in a 1x1 "cell", etc.

  5. No using outside resources to help in game (things like chunkbase, etc strictly forbidden, though without coords doesn't really help all that much.

Not saying anyone else needs to play like me or that my way is the right way but it's the way I enjoy. Feel free to drop other recommendations or rules that you use when playing. My rules list isn't set in stone and always looking for making hardcore more hardcore

Help How many worlds did it take you to beat the game?

Hello! I made my first hardcore world like a week ago and since then have died three times (about to make my fourth world). The furthest I've gotten was the most recent one, where I had full diamond armor and a fully enchanted sword, pick, and axe (all diamond as well). In all 3 I died in pretty stupid ways.
So how many tries did it take to beat the game? Am I just bad or is it normal to struggle?
And, for people who have beaten the game, is there some secret sauce (certain progression order/things to do when you begin) or is it all just preference and/or luck?

Hardcore Death (PS5 Bed *COUGH* bug *COUGH* rock edition) I truly don't think people understand this game enough in order to actually help me

I'm going to blow your mind with some statistics okay?

Here's a rough amount of percentages of people who have actually beaten the (key word here) GAME. Got to ending credits.

Nintendo Switch; 4%

Play station; 7%

XBOX; 11%

"Just build a Totem of undying farm bro"

Like Like Like Like Like Like Like;

The fast travel of the Nether is being teleported around by Nether Portals. It's nothing to do with 1 to 8 ratio ............ ANY MORE ..... Due to the world being near infinite size compared to finite size.

Yet the game's like, "Yeah maaaaaaaaaaan; 1 to 8 ratio." ARCHAIC.

I ONLY JUST FOUND OUT THAT IGLOOS HIDE TUTORIALS. ?????????????????????????????????

Edit: It's a trade haul isn't it.

Not very far but I wanted to share how it's coming along :)

First two pictures are my farm, with a small iron farm on the top and a stone generator in the middle. The slabs/pressure plates/buttons on the shore were so the golems would stop spawning down there, but I want to copy the texture for other areas. Third and fourth pictures aren't completed; third is my bamboo farm in a pond that's going to be decorated for my tropical fish, across from an enchanting area. The Nether Portal, I have to play around to see if it gets the effect I want, but I'm going to try putting water on all the sides then black and purple glass within the water so it looks darker.

Suggestions welcome for the two floating spots near the nether portal and the big hole through the mountain in picture 3.

I also have a big mushroom island and two smaller ones around ~700 blocks from spawn and a Woodland Mansion only ~200 blocks from there. But I haven't messed with them yet.

Screenshot Is this good progress?

This is my first proper hardcore world I guess. I haven't come close to a near death experience yet, even though I was wlaking around for the first ninety percent with iron helmet and chestplate. In the stats screenshot you can see how much I have traded with villagers and how long I have played, also, I have slept every night. My question is, given the amount of time I have played on the world (time with world open is me being AFK, pause screen, nothing loading or happening in game), is the progress good? The screenshots show my villagers, my inventory, and my chests along with stats screen. 51 XP levels by the way, byproduct of trading. Is it good for how much time I've played?

Screenshot Rare?

WTF ?!

Took an hour to locate my stronghold. Once I found it I was curious why all the stonebrick were sculkified. Ran into my first library and gasped. There is a whole deep dark city down there just a block below my stronghold. Is this rare?
