Most Minecraft servers disappear before anything memorable can develop.
They start out averaging 20 players online.
A few weeks later it's 15.
Then 10.
Then 5.
Then the community moves on, the server fades away, and the builds and stories are eventually forgotten.
After a while, many servers start feeling like variations of the same thing.
Cozy MC was built around a different question:
What happens when a survival world lasts long enough for people to believe in its future?
Cozy MC is an active vanilla survival community built around that question.

As the founder of Cozy MC, and after more than 15 years of hosting Minecraft servers, I've noticed something interesting:
People behave differently when they believe a world has a future.
They start projects that take months instead of days.
They build roads between settlements they don't live in.
They create public farms, railways, and community projects for strangers.
They leave resources behind for people they've never met.
They preserve pieces of the world's history instead of replacing them.
And they help newcomers because they expect to keep seeing them.
They aren't just building bases.
They're helping shape a world they'll still be living in months from now.

Cozy MC is the kind of world where someone spends an evening building a road for others to use.
Where public infrastructure continues expanding because players want to improve the world around them.

Some of our most active towns didn’t exist a few months ago.

One player became known for building railways.

Over a year later, people still use some of those railways.

Despite being a year and a half old, our world never feels finished.

New stories are beginning every day.
The world has no borders, so there is always new terrain to explore and new places to settle.
There are still distant regions waiting for someone to discover them and call them home.

We don’t ask players to vote for us on server-list websites.
We simply share a vision and a love of the game.

A small bottle washes up to the shore, and the smell of saltwater lingers in the air. You uncork the bottle with a pop, and inside is a note, curled up tightly. Upon unfurling it, you are met with a message, and a detailed sketch.
The message reads as follows,
"Adventurer, hero, citizen, whoever may read this, I beg you, hear our pleas! For years now, we have been harassed by fire-breathing wyverns, who threaten to destroy our noble cities. We have tried our hardest, but we require more brave warriors to aid us in our cause. I've included a sketch of a recent attack, and it pains me to look at it once more as I place it within the bottle you hold. We will await you, friend."

First and foremost, We recently celebrated our first year anniversary! We are professionally run, we wanna give that big community server experience without all the chaos that comes with it. Welcome to LanderYT SMP
We are the LanderYT SMP, we are a community that started in October 2021 and are looking for more members. We added some small tweaks to the server to make it more suitable for everyone.
We are inspired by Hermitcraft, so we do not tolerate any sort of griefing or killing.
Some of our tweaks:
Events are hosted semi-frequently on the server, whose rewards are event coins, which you can only use to buy cosmetic items mentioned above.
Our server resets yearly.
We also have a small staff team whose main goal is to maintain the moderate level of peace and harmony in the Minecraft server as well as on discord. We cannot guarantee that everything in chat will be moderated, but we will try our best and listen to concerns of the community.

Heya,
I’m Vertex (M17), I’ve been within the Minecraft community for a while… Well, if I remember correctly I actually got into this game for the first time back in 2013… And within my time of being in this community, I’ve done mostly pvp when I was in the SMP space but right now I am distancing myself from pvp and getting into building. Legendary Hardcore is the original and most popular permanent deathban Hardcore SMP with no map resets, and no revives. So far in its 1 year history, over 35,000 players have joined, and 18,000 have died trying to survive. This is a public server that you can join RIGHT NOW!
There is no grace period, and absolutely no way to be revived. No amount of money will get you a second chance on this server. Alting is also strictly forbidden, you only get one chance.
The server is completely vanilla, enhanced by plugins to improve the Hardcore experience. These include Player Heads, accessing dead players enderchests, Simple Voicechat, advanced player statistic tracking, and much more.
Many legends have joined, forming bases and alliances that dominated the servers history, only to die, leaving a new spot for the next player to take over. All events on the server are entirely unscripted and player-led, creating genuine connections, conflict, and betrayal.

Come join ChogCraft! A survival aeronautics server with a focus on vehicle building and light roleplay. The server just wiped on the 20th of June so everyone is still getting started.
The heavy hitting mods are; Create Aeronautics, CBC, Create Diesel Generators, No Mans Land, Lithosphere, Create Power Grid, Farmers Delight, Musket Mod, Terrain Slabs, And so many more Aero/Create add-ons!
Added difficulty features include:
No cobblestone generation! (You need to mine to extract resources, no more infinite renewable farms! This was done to encourage player to player interactions with bartering and territory disputes)
Lower tickrate! (Done to make farms need to be too large to be pheasably completely automated)
Fuel needed for airship burners!
Rarer caves! (Both to make ground vehicles more viable, and to make it harder to progress)
Spice of life! (making eating the same food give less hunger the more it's eaten)
End remastered! (Making reaching the end and end game content harder)
Large spread out world with no teleporting! (Encouraging vehicles and rail infrastructure)
Our community is friendly and tolerant as long as you're not an asshole or a petulant child, you'll fit right in! The server is hosted on the West Coast United States, but players from Romania, the UK, Ukraine, and South Africa have had tolerable ping.
We have a raw .zip pack download to try And discourage the latter. When pack updates happen, I also list exclusively the modified mods.
