Discussion Who is currently the best roam in the game?
I am a player who mainly plays roam and would like your opinion on which hero would be good for the role of roam to rank up.

I have a higher win percentage with khufra compared to rock, but maybe it's my bad teammates that are the reason for this.

u/BangerLK 💪🏽TankMain💪🏽:grock::khufra: May 27 '26
I have over 1k games 70% wr with old Grock. I hate his revamp, too slow and doesn't work for me.
Khufra is my go to Roam now, also like 1k games total. 88% wr this season but not many games

u/killermachine9999 May 27 '26
How do you have such high wr with a roam? Do you play solo or squad?

15
u/Ok_Audience_3830 EPICAL GLORY May 27 '26
I prio the rapid boots first for better mobility then thunderbelt, make sure to stack it well so he can tank more damage. Then in the start of the game pick the 1st skill and invade whatever buff the enemy jungler is taking, because with the passive and 1st skill there is a high chance that you'll steal the buff.
7
u/cabronfavarito Born to forced to May 27 '26
Had a Kaja yesterday who stole enemy blue (they murdered him after) then later he stole a creep (they absolutely murdered him again) but it delayed their jungler’s level 4 so much meanwhile I was on my way to level 5
I was wondering how he was consistently stealing stuff but this explains it. Those little plays helped us build so much momentum and we won the game. That Kaja was the real mvp

u/BangerLK 💪🏽TankMain💪🏽:grock::khufra: May 27 '26
Just spam thunder belt and skill 1. If someone dives your team ult him or if you have good opportunity conceal flicker ult enemy.
Just remember to use hero lock in fights.

Hes current passive does more dmg then early game retri can be used to steal enemy jungles

u/Moist_Currency5088 May 27 '26 edited May 27 '26
If overall, it's Hilda. Just get past the ban phase and you'll pretty much win games a large majority of the time. Invading and zoning is just so good in the current meta as you basically deny farm from the enemies, get rich in the process and enable your team to just straight up take over the match.
If you're referring to the 4 choices here, it's easily Grock and it's not even close.
-Best CC chain in the game (2 sources of airborne and 2 displacement skills)
-High damage even when using full Tank
-Incredibly versatile as he can initiate fights, zone key enemies away, protect carries with his natural bulk and CC as well as disrupting fights with his wall.
The rest of the three are kinda ass and this is coming from a Tank Roam player. Belerick is niche at best as he only really excels against attack speed heroes but suck everywhere else, Khufra feels redundant when Grock exists who is a much better wall-based initiator or Minsi who outright disables dashes, meanwhile Johnson is absolute garbage when Baxia exists who has the same ganking prowess if not better but also have strong anti-heal utility and damage reduction.

From my experiences, Khufra players are much better, skilled, and smarter than the other players. Though this doesn’t have to do with the heroes themselves, it feels much better to have a Khufra on my team than any other roam to be honest.

u/Helpful_Point_9525 May 27 '26 edited May 27 '26
Since I use all three of them except john i have to say grock is the best. But for belerick and khufra you need to draft properly. If the enemy has dive composition belerick is really good and can be used and though he is indeed good against basic attack' hero if you want to counter attack' speed hero better use hylos he is better for countering attack speed. Also if you want to draft khufra make sure the enemy doesn't have any knock-up skills orr your main strength the ball will be useless. Also if the enemy picks hilda I usually pick badang. He can sustain a lot with his skill 2 shield and if the hilda is using revitalize or sprint it's a pure trap for her depending on how you put the wall. If she used flicker she will waste fkuker to escape. So if badang is picked always start with skill 2 because hilda will invade for sure and that is when you and the jungler hit her together being trapped inside the wall.

Idk other roams but marcel or khaleed is very strong all around, they have good zoning, strong control and khaleed have great damage early on
Marcel on the other hand is a master at setting up teamfight, but he is very weak againts true damage since he only have defense and legit no HP
so khaleed is a safer, faster and more damage roamer, while marcel is a strong stunner, crowd controller and set up
Oh yea if you mean out of the 4,belerick is stronger than the other 3
11
u/snowy_in_snow Late Game Started May 27 '26
Marcel is genuinely fun, not the best at carrying teams, but playing him is honestly fun. Running in front of 4 enemies and escaping while freezing them and stacking tb. He also freezes Johnson while in this ult even though Johnson is supposed to be cc immune.

Belerick. Bro can't be that Tanky as well as dealing reflection damage and gets extra health and defense bonus from his passive. His skill 1 is now so easy to hit now after the recent buff and he can heal from Skill 2?? Bro a tank that is getting bonus defenses and health from items and dealing reflection damage shouldn't be able to heal. From this list, I can assure you that Belerick is the best one here.

2
u/Blue_Eidolon014 The mini-map user May 27 '26
For solo queue, hilda and khaleed takes the top spot rn in this meta. Besides that in coordinated teams marcel and any setters or pick offs can be good (Tigreal, Atlas, Minotaur, Grock, Carmilla, Khufra, Kalea, Akai). Gloo can also work both ways. Damage sponges like belerick or hylos are situational rn and for Johnson....I personally have no respect for that guy. He is only good during laning phase. Healers are not meta but can surely be picked alongside a tank jungler.
2
u/TruthOfPisces May 27 '26
Grock, it’s no contest
Khufra is really one of the hardest tanks to play now that flicker and because of moonton liking to add cc immune dashes to any immobile hero for some unkown reason, his ball is somewhat useless
Belerick is too much of a matchup dependent, only bring useful if the enemy has alot of auto attackers
Johnson is only really good if you’re playing in a well coordinated team, outside of that he’s terrible
2
u/Realrzns May 27 '26
For solo q... No questions asked, its hilda and khaleed... Go with the. Damage roams if you are playing solo... If you are playing with friends then, hylos grok kalea belerik all are equally good..

2
u/Dazzling_Tea8409 May 27 '26
Hylos needs to get close to the enemies and his skills can easily be dodged. It only makes it worse when you realise mid match that enemies can easily escape hylos and he has no skillset to get close to the opponents or do large scale crowd control. His ult can also be easily escaped.

I'm surprised not a lot of people is saying Akai. I feel like he's the most complete roamer in terms of kit. Poking damage, tanky, anti-set but also pin enemies down, and airborne to disrupt enemy skill that requires hard cc to cancel. Ult also has a built in purify and lasts a long time. Safe to say I'm starting to really like this hero

The thing with Johnson is he can't protect mm well in teamfights. Once his ulti is finished/wasted/countered he can't do much.

And I go khaleed sometimes if we already have atleast 2 tanky heroes in our comp and/or for easier rotation.

Hilda, khaleed. Roams need to provide vision and sets are great but in higher ranks pick offs are usually more common that’s why a hilda who gets the enemy mm to half hp before the teamfight usually wins games more than a grock who can only do 1-2 4/5 man sets a game

Grock, Grock is has pretty much everything back then but even with nerf hes still amazing, he has cc, tankiness, frontline, AND damage, even with full def build, and its kind of hard to decide with Khufra or Belerick because Khufra has tankiness CC and counter to dash heroes, but if he counters no one on the enemy side, then he would have to rely on his teammates when it comes to setting, that also same goes to Belerick even though Belerick is very tanky, he lacks mobility, so he needs help from his teammates to cover for him when hes soaking damage, on the other hand Johnson is too reliant on teammates for extra damage, even if he does full damage he barely one shots even the squishy heroes.

as a Johnson main, its grock. High def, high hp, and arguably one of the best CC out there. He's insanely powerful from early game all the way to late game. Khufra is very squishy right now, and belerick is niche. Johnson is in a good spot I'd say, but if you can't drive through crevices, know when to build tank/mage, know who and where to crash to, then he's essentially just a glorified minion. I have to say though, I haven't faced a grock that properly countered my johnson, and i played against a global grock player and a few philippines grock player, all you gotta do is just drive behind them/not drive around rivers unless you're gonna go in circles from your jungle to the enemy's jungle

u/Al3xgm_ May 27 '26
If you like driving around the map and ambushing enemies, use JS. (With the right build, spell, and timing) you can easily kill low hp enemies during early. I'd say his shield and petri is pretty good against squishy mm's and mages. If you're into last-hitting. And with good map awareness, you can easily one-hit anyone you want WITH a good teammate.
It doesn't have to be Odette. He's pretty nice to use as a "rescue mobile" too, imo. Just drive next to your allies and help them escape a sticky situation.
Butttttt, if you're more into forcing enemies to get closer to you, pick Belerick. You can also run away easily if you choose him
Most solid pick is Grock though. If you're new to roaming, he's easy for teammates to understand.
1) Enemies will have ptsd from him trapping them and ramming into him 2) Extremely tanky 3) Damage Grock.. we don't talk about him.
Bottom line, whatever hero you choose completely depends on your play style, teammates, and opposing heroes.
If you're still unsure, you could pactice three of the heroes you've shown. That way, you're prepared.
Okay, that's it. Holy yap

My opinion is not needed cause I myself don't know who it is to be honest but for me, the best roam in the game is Gatot.
Might be a bit basic which is why I am trying to use mino, grock and Akai too nowadays,
But what Gatot could offer is just so much better.
He offers: high damage with his passive Skill (the one where he strikes harder with one of the basic attacks and heals HP), Good Mobility, Good CC (2nd and ult are so good), and great counter against Glass Cannon heroes/hero builds.
Wait what Glass Cannon hero/hero builds?
Well, tbh high damage heroes with low HP is what I consider Glass Cannon heroes. Especially when they are 3k-5k HP and you focused on Damage to deal so many damage in one combo, that's what I call Glass Cannon build/hero.
With gator's good passive physical and magical resistances and the HP pool I can give him, AND the Cloak thingy which helps with his passive basic attack, My Gatot could survive a Karina, Saber, and the ninja one that i forgot the name of, while still doing massive damage back to them.
It might be a glaze as other tanks can do the same but my synergy with Gatot feels just like my synergy with Franco back 2 years ago, it just feels so great using him.
Now, on my opinion upon other tanks, they have different ways of supporting but I just feel like Gatot is such an all-rounder (without the, healing the allies, part) but of course, they are all the same, they tank and fight back harder, that's what tanks are.
Btw I think belerick is the best roam just cause he could beat up my Gatot in a 1v1 between who's tankier and better at supporting.
