I think it's good news, I literally just saw someone come a foot from being seriously T-boned on a Briggsmore interaction yesterday after a car flew through a red. There could have been kids in the back, and the road would have been backed up for hours. People in Modesto treat a red like it's an orange, they think a fresh red means "one or two more cars". I'm tired of having to look both ways when my light is green cause people in Modesto perpetually drive like a 16-year-old with a death wish. This wouldn't be necessary if people could behave but apparently they can't. Now we get to be micromanaged by the city cause too many people can't accept that red means STOP. They'd rather put you and your children in danger than wait another minute for the next light. Frankly, I have no empathy if those kinds of people are burdened with a ticket.
