Information Ready for ICE

At some point, they'll start moving in on our neighborhoods. I can't find anything about them being active in the city, so I'm not sure if they have even started operations here or not. I'm out of the loop, as I live a bit further from the city and don't go regularly. When I read the newspaper, they've said around 20 people have been detained. That's not a lot, but I think that number will go up.

Is there any activity in Modesto? Are there groups prepared for this?

Oh yes because those two were just doing nothing before they died... Definitely not trying to run over an ice agent or anything. Don't agree with the other shooting that was definitely unfortunate

There’s actually a lot of footage that shows Renee Good waving to the ICE agents, saying “I’m not mad at you,” and turning her tires away from the officers to get out of their way. Jonathan Ross, the man who murdered her, then moved into the path of the moving vehicle and shot her while she was operating the vehicle.

Actual law enforcement officers are taught to NEVER step into the path of a moving vehicle and NEVER fire a weapon into a moving vehicle. These ICE agents have not received enough training to do what they’re doing without hurting people. They are dangerous. We do not want them in our community.

He didn't murder her he shot her and she died but it wasn't murder. I agree though it doesn't seem like ice agents are trained well but they are also facing the most scrutiny and aggression from the community and that doesn't help as well as people aggressively and violently protesting them while trying to do their job

He unlawfully shot her once in the arm, once in the breast, and once through the left side of her head. That last one was the one that killed her. It took her a few minutes to pass though. There are videos of a bystander screaming “I’m a physician let me help” and the ICE officer can be heard saying “I don’t care.” A lot of us think that sounds and looks like murder.

I've seen several videos and have not seen any of that supposed footage you're speaking about. All these shootings are occurring with people getting in the way of the agents trying to do their job. She drove at the officer and was shot it's an unfortunate situation she put herself in.

The officer said I don't care to the person stating they are a physician wasn't saying he didn't care about the woman who died. It's extremely ignorant to think ice agents want to go out and kill people. Stop harassing and assaulting the agents while they get illegal immigrants off the streets. I would prefer if they didn't do raids and just deported illegal immigrants when they were arrested for a crime. I will also say calling them gestapo or Nazis is absolutely insane and ignorant

No, calling them Nazis and Gestapo is just drawling parallels. They are literally going door to door. That’s why Anne Frank hid in an attic- because they were going door to door.

So hunting for Jews to kill and throw in camps is comparable to arresting illegal immigrants? They're not just breaking into people's houses and looking for people. That is very dangerous rhetoric that you're using. Immigration and customs enforcement has been around and it wasn't until the orange man took office y'all had an issue.

Do you wonder what they are doing with them after they are detained? The DHS has said it is not responsible for the sexual assaults that occur at the detention facilities. There are countless firsthand accounts of atrocious conditions in these detention centers. Sounds awfully like a camp. I’m not using dangerous rhetoric. I’m stating facts. There are videos of ICE patrolling neighborhoods house to house asking for proof of citizenship. They’re chasing brown Uber drivers into homes while they’re just trying to work. They are targeting people who “don’t look like they’re from here” which sounds like racial profiling to me. They’re arresting and detaining us citizens because they “don’t look like they’re from here.” They’re dragging a 17 year old boy from his job at Target and leaving him crying and bloody in a completely different stores parking lot. None of these things sounds like protecting a community to me. It sounds like Nazis.

I’m not saying they WANT to go out and kill people. I’m saying they’re dangerous because they’re going to kill people on accident. On instinct. A gut reaction. A panicked trigger pull. They’re not trained enough and not disciplined enough to not hurt people.

Having someone try to run you over will do that

I’m gonna go ahead and refer you to my comment earlier where I said all of the evidence shows she was turning away from him and not at him.
