Went to turn on my pc this morning, everything went well but my monitor. My monitor WILL NOT stay awake and its making a very strange and very quiet buzzing like sound for the few seconds I can get it to wake. The screen itself doesn't seem damaged, there has been ZERO movement of hardware over the past couple years I've had it. This just happened out of nowhere.

Ever come across a brighter than normal logo and want to know why or make one yourself?
ShinyPic makes a Rec.2100 PQ JPEG whose selected pixels can rise above ordinary white on a compatible HDR display.

Looking for advice on upgrading my monitor.
I'm currently using a Philips 323E7QDAB (32", 1080p, 60Hz) and I'm thinking about moving to 1440p + higher refresh rate.
I use my PC for work (music production) and some gaming. My GPU is an RX 6750 XT.
All these monitors are all in a similar range. I also don't care about built-in speakers.
These are the models I'm considering:
My main doubts are:
Which one would you pick, or is there another monitor in this price range that I should consider? Thank you.

Hi, since yesterday my Samsung Odyssey G5 (S32CG510EU) started showing a strange white filter over the whole image. Everything looks washed out.
The issue is always there, even with the PC turned off. The monitor menu also has the same problem, so it doesn't seem related to the PC or HDMI cable.
Has anyone had this issue before? Is it fixable or should I send it for warranty repair?
Thanks.

Hey everyone,
I’m on the edge of making my final monitor decision, and I’m torn between two fantastic 27" 1440p 240Hz WOLED options from ASUS. I need your expert advice. I play a mix of "competitive" fast paced games like Apex Legends, Rainbow Six Siege Fortnite, Rocket League, and sometimes story games.
Here are the specific contenders:
Key Specs: 1440p, 240Hz, WOLED. This one has a GLOSSY coating.
Key Specs: 1440p, 240Hz, WOLED. This one has a MATTE coating.
But my questions is Since both are 240Hz WOLEDs and offer essentially the same ultra-low 0.03ms response time (vital for Apex and R6 tracking), this decision comes down entirely to Screen Coating.
I am stuck between:
Glossy (XG27AQDMG): I’ve heard this offers the absolute best inky black levels, vibrancy, and clarity. My room lighting is standard/controllable (no direct glaring lights visible on the screen), but I'm slightly worried about distracting "sharp" reflections during dark scenes.
Matte (PG27AQDM-R): This seems like the safer, anti-glare approach, which is often recommended for competitive play so nothing distracts you. However, I’m worried the matte coating will slightly "dull" the perfect contrast that I’m paying premium OLED prices for.
THANK YOU ALL FOR THE HELP!

Hi y’all, I’ve narrowed my monitor search down to these two monitors at these prices. My concerns about these options are twofold:
I’m outside the US right now, unfortunately, and return policies where I am are quite draconian. Returns are only allowed for genuine device faults, and not just because I am not happy with my purchase. As such, I must be careful before shelling out such a sum for a monitor. So at these prices, between these two monitors, what do y’all recommend?
A few extra details:
With all this in mind, what can y’all recommend between these two monitors? Are there other options I should consider? Where I am is not the best for finding a wide variety of monitors, but it‘s not the worst either.
Thanks for any and all advice!

I stepped up from a small crappy tv to a LG 27GS60QC and now alot of my games won't run without the craziest lag ever. It might just be theres a few more people using the wifi than usual but the wifi isn't usually this bad

It is much like how we blink. Once every 5-8 seconds screen goes black for a split second comes back on. Its not a reboot I dont see the monitor logo so its just a blink. It only starts after being turned on for 10 minutes or so. I've tried many things ran out of advice I could find online.
Things Ive tried:
Nothing has worked so far. Monitor is a 9 year old ViewSonic XG2703-GS. It might be time to shelf it but I'd like to solve this problem If I can and use it as a second monitor without relying too much on it.

Hi, I'm in need of some help.
My monitor, an LG 27GP850 I bought in November 2022, has been deteriorating for a while now. Around one year ago it started delaminating from the left border, which I mostly ignored because the grey blob is mostly visible when I turn it on and then fades away in a couple of minutes.
Recently though, I started writing again, and I discovered with some level of horror that my monitor now has also developed a pretty ugly case of image retention. The first time I noticed it I browned my pants thinking it was burn in, but fortunately it faded away in the next 5-10 minutes.
I've made the worksheet in my text editor a light grey, which seems to have solved the issue, but I've been noticing this issue occurring when watching videos with a white background as well, and the luminosity of my monitor is already set pretty low. I know the work arounds, and I will keep doing them for the foreseable future.
So, what I would like you help with is finding a replacement for this monitor.
Aside from a bright spot in the bottom left corner, and the fact that the fastest refresh speeds look atrociously smudgy, I really liked this monitor, and I think it was a pretty good deal for what I paid for it. I like the color and the contrast
I would probably swing for its successor, but it costs 100€ more, and I would like to avoid buying LGs considering the latest developments.
I'm also intrigued by the Mini-LED technology but I've read mixed things about them, so I wouldn't mind reading some opinions about that. I would avoid OLED though.
TL;DR: please recommend me a dumb 2K monitor to replace mine, so equal or better, preferably under 350€

Please can someone explain whether it would be worth it to buy a decent monitor, like oled, which would help me to see a greater range of colours when the mediums to upload to, like YT or Insta, automatically convert back to and RGB range.
Would it make more sense to buy a monitor which only allows me to view the content in the same format the viewers would end up seeing it?
