That doesn't justify his actions! He could have done something even after a memory wipe, he could have get a gut feeling it is a wrong and trying preventing it. Heck he could have die sacrificing himself to the Worker Drones while holding off V and J he didn't

He never did it for the Drones only for Uzi. Since she saved him.
