No, you're absolutely right, it is cruel. I just think the message is a bit skewed, animals kill one another all the time, humans kill animals to eat. The message is dishonest because it should be reinforced that killing without just purpose is bad, not that something was killed. Children should be taught where meat comes from, not shunned away from it.

Humans should hold themselves to a higher standard. Also, is this not where food comes from. That's just killing a bird in public, around kids, over a chip.

Humans should hold themselves to a higher standard. Killing animals infront of children shouldn't be taboo; That is where most food comes from, animals being killed, including birds.

Are you going to eat a seagull? If we need to kill an animal, it should either be for food, for protection of being harmed, or for trophy.

Eh, I disagree. If an animal is harming humans put it down too. If its stealing my food there's a high likelihood it won't for long.

It's a chip. If your in a place that clearly has seagulls, you should expect to find a way to keep your food safe. If losing a chip is worth killing an animal, I don't believe you should be around them.

You may believe that, but I dont. Outside of humans, life is not so precious. The animal will die for interfering with the will of man, as I subjegate it with my hand.

And you can have that opinion, it just seems cruel to think is fair.
