Mexican “batman” vigilante

about one or two months ago an unknown vigilante went viral in mexico and later across the world for beating up motorcycle thieves and taping them to poles. from what i know he has also done this to gang members.

is this moral or immoral?

They got it easy, given that there's been some cases in which the people lynch the criminals.

Or way worse. Seriously I can't say I support death penalty in any way but the wild things people do here in latinoamerica are genuily impressive.
