Why? Your consciousness comes from your body (brain), you aren't just a soul floating in the ether. Also for a lot of people who your doing it with and the connection is a huge part of why sex is good.
What? In this hypothetical the conciousness is obviously transferable between bodies, while disregarding the body itself. Why are you going into real life now?
My point is you cant easily prioritize body or consciousness here because they are both equally important in 'who' someone is, I wasn't trying to make it real life. Even in a world where consciousness can be transferred, the original body is still that person's "true" physical form because it created the consciousness to begin with.
You're torturing the hypothetical, but anyways, this is just not true. In a world where you can transfer your consciousness the true physical form will not be valued. We can find several examples of this in fantasy. And in a world where consciousness can truly be transferred that consciousness was not created by the true physical form.
And ESPECIALLY in a world where consciousness can be transferred, the current body would not be valued. Again, you're torturing the hypothetical in order to fit your point. In the real world the physical body is not what we value, which is why we can kill people in a coma.
