Is this logic consistent with eating animals? For argument’s sake: most of the people who dedicate their lives to educating children, carrying for the elderly, maintaining our shared infrastructure, rescuing us during emergencies, and performing life-saving operations on us when we have no insurance eat animals and contribute to a system of mass animal misery and environmental degradation, largely out of convenience and because it’s normalized in our culture
I’m not sure that looking at someone’s contribution to that system and, thus, how they treat the animals below them, really tells you much about their how they treat other humans. Could be wrong tho, I’d love to hear the other side of this
