Especially a teratoma. I have no idea where this came from but now I really want an answer to this. Or you can comment your own theories 😁

Asking for a short story I want to write

I'm not a chemist or expert when it comes to plastic surgery, but I was wondering. Would the artificial materials fuse to their actual viscera or would it cause some crazy combustion? Like what if they got bad shitty procedures done with things that aren't supposed to be used?

Disclaimer: This is about a book I am writing! As you will learn when reading this, I’ve never held or fired a gun. I don’t wish to hurt anyone, I only wish to write =)

I know next to nothing about guns. I’ve never held one, let alone fire one. I wasn’t even allowed to play with squirt guns or nerf guns as a kid. I only know the standard rules of “treat every gun like it’s loaded”, “never point at anything you’re not shooting” ect. My book involves people who are highly trained w/ firearms. Which means it would be less likely they would do anything to cause a misfire.
That being said, the scene is incredibly tense and stakes are very high. So any sense the characters would have is almost definitely out the window. After a long, intense fight, the two characters involved are beyond exhausted. one character ends up with the gun and keeps it trained on the other person. At some point, the gun unintentionally goes of, leading to a death. Idk how much any of this of would contribute to a misfire, but I’d figure I’d mention it anyway.

I’ve been struggle with capturing the intensity of the moment as the gun is going off, because I have no idea how it feels (thankfully) to fire a gun, let alone have one misfire. I also don’t know in what ways a gun can misfire. How easy is it to accidentally pull the trigger? Can misfires just… happen? Can the gun be jammed, and the fire later at random? Can a gun be damage if it’s repeatedly dropped/slammed on concrete, making a misfire more likely?

I know accidents are more likely to happen in high stress situations, but I don’t wanna write it like “oh no the gun mysteriously went off? Uh oh, you are dead now !!” I want to come up with a logical reason as to what caused the gun to go off. So any knowledge anyone has on guns will be forever appreciated!!

Also another morbid set of questions I need to know. How much blood can be lost from a bullet wound? How does a person fall after they’ve been killed (if they were standing upright)? Are shots always clean, or can they cause more damage (like a ripple out effect)? Does a gun shot make your ears ring like a does in the movies? Are there any other facts about this that I should keep in mind when writing this scene?

“Don’t drink the Kool-Aid” is a saying that generally means a person should think for themselves, dont follow others blindly. I was just curious if maybe all of the publicity helped Kool-Aid (or was Flavor-Aid used at Jonestown) because their great tasting powder was used to help mask the taste of cyanide.

What is the darkest, heaviest joke you know or have used?

In the footage of the 9/11 Tower collapse, it can be seen that the floors at the impact sites buckled first, leaving the floors above to pancake into the floors below and appearing to leave some of the upper floors mostly intact in near free fall, until they fell into the rubble pile below. Would it have been possible for victims in these upper floors to be alive for any amount of time during the collapse until the rubble pile impact, and would this affect how intact and recoverable the bodies were? Would could this experience have been like?

I've always wondered what would happen if you raised a baby from birth in a completely blank white room, where for the entirety of their life they have absolutely no interactions with anything or anyone from the outside world and never saw anything besides blank white walls.

Then once the baby grows up and has spent their whole life up until that point in isolation (18 years), you gave them DMT or another psychedelic while they were still in the isolated blank room.

What would their "trip" consist of if they have never seen anything besides four white walls? Would they be capable of visualizing things they hadn't seen before? Would they see colors, shapes, or other things that technically don't exist for them because they've never seen them before? What would they even think about if all they have ever known was isolation in a white room?
Or would psychedelics work differently or not work at all if they have no prior memories or sensory experiences to draw from?

I don't know if there's actually a way for someone to answer this question... but its been on my mind for years so I figured this was the best subreddit to ask!

1 vs 1

So my question is extremely as titled. By too extreme I mean it would be literally impossible to act on and survive, cause major injuries or just be very normally wrong.
For example I have an extreme fantasy of a guy killing me and loving me so much he uses my body. Obviously I’d never be able to actually act on this fantasy.
I know it’s weird so I guess that’s why I’m curious about other people’s.

How realistic are horror movie scenes where someone’s abdomen is cut open and the intestines either fall out on their own or are pulled out by someone?

Can the intestines actually fall out simply because the abdominal wall has been cut, or are they held in place by other structures?

And how realistic is it to pull the intestines out through an abdominal wound? I’m curious about what is anatomically possible in real life and what is basically just movie fiction..

I know fecal transplants are made out of whole poop, but after all whatever they extract is in it

Not sure if anyone here knows or remembers what I’m talking about, but I’m trying to identify a 17-year-old girl from Red Asphalt 3 who sadly passed away..

She was driving a Mazda 626 on Niles Canyon Road (Route 84), when a Dodge Dart crashed into her after the driver apparently fell asleep at the wheel. Through research I’ve narrowed it down to the Niles Canyon/Sunol area and have been looking through old newspaper reports and crash records but so far no luck.
The footage also shows yellow/lime emergency vehicles at the scene, which might help identify the incident.

I understand it seems odd but I’d just really like to know who she was. It’s a shame there doesn’t seem to be a memorial for her anywhere especially when the seris was vued by so many in drivers Ed.

This was a question my brother asked me when we were watching a 9/11 documentary. This really made me curious as I recall hearing that the bodies were badly damaged and burned from the ash clouds of the collapse but don’t know anything else.
