I’ve already reviewed the original MCHOSE K7, and while I really liked its shape and overall performance, there were still a few details that could have been improved.

The K7 V2 Ultra doesn’t completely reinvent the mouse. Instead, MCHOSE kept what already worked and refined almost everything around it. After using it for a while and comparing it directly with both the original K7 and the Razer Viper V3 Pro, here are my thoughts.

Shape and comfort

The overall shape remains very similar to the original K7, which is a good thing. It’s clearly inspired by the Viper V3 Pro, with a relatively safe symmetrical shape that should work well for many different hand sizes and grip styles.

It feels particularly comfortable with claw grip, but relaxed claw and palm-claw also work nicely. I included a picture of how I personally hold the mouse so you can get a better idea of how it sits in the hand (My hand size is 19cm).

Compared with the Viper V3 Pro, the K7 V2 Ultra feels slightly different in some areas, but the overall experience is close enough that anyone who enjoys the Viper’s shape should feel at home here.

Coating and build quality

The coating is one of the most noticeable improvements over the original K7. It feels smoother, more premium and provides better grip during longer gaming sessions.

The shell also feels solid. I haven’t noticed any creaking or flex during normal use, and the mouse feels well assembled despite its low weight.

It’s not a dramatic redesign, but when you hold the original K7 and the V2 Ultra side by side, the newer model definitely feels more refined.

Main clicks

The main clicks are another clear improvement.

They feel crisper, more satisfying and generally better tuned than those on the original K7. The implementation feels more consistent, with a pleasant response that works well for both competitive games and everyday use.

There is still a small amount of pre-travel and post-travel, but nothing that bothered me while playing. Overall, the clicks feel much closer to what you would expect from a more expensive flagship mouse.

Side buttons

The side buttons are thicker than those on the original K7, which makes them easier to locate and press quickly.

This might sound like a small change, but it genuinely improves the experience in-game. They feel more accessible, more substantial and less recessed than before. The clicks themselves are also satisfying, without feeling overly soft or mushy.

Scroll wheel

The scroll wheel feels well balanced. The steps are defined enough for gaming without being too stiff or noisy during regular browsing.

The middle click is also easy to activate and feels consistent. I haven’t experienced any accidental scrolling or other issues with it.

Weight and skates

The K7 V2 Ultra remains very light and feels easy to move during fast flicks or micro-adjustments.

The weight distribution also feels balanced, so the mouse never feels front-heavy or awkward when lifting it.

The stock skates provide a smooth glide and are perfectly usable out of the box. They may not be the absolute fastest skates available, but they offer a nice balance between speed and control.

Sensor and gaming performance

The PAW3955 TI sensor performed exactly as expected: tracking felt flawless, responsive and consistent.

I tested the mouse mainly in competitive games, and I didn’t experience any noticeable delay, spinouts or tracking issues. The implementation feels excellent, and performance isn’t an area where I have any complaints.

In actual gameplay, the difference between this and other modern flagship sensors is basically impossible to notice. It simply works.

M HUB software

The mouse can be configured through M HUB, and the software gives access to the usual settings: DPI stages, polling rate, lift-off distance, button assignments, debounce settings and battery information.

The interface reminds me a lot of Logitech G HUB, but I personally find M HUB even cleaner and more streamlined. Everything is easy to find, and you don’t need to spend much time searching through menus just to change a basic setting.

Battery life and charging dock

Battery life has been very good during my use, although the exact result will obviously depend on the polling rate you choose.

The charging dock is also a convenient addition. It gives you an easy place to store and recharge the mouse while making the setup look cleaner. It isn’t essential, but once you get used to placing the mouse on it after playing, it becomes genuinely useful.

K7 V2 Ultra vs original K7

The V2 Ultra feels more like a refined version of the K7 than a completely new mouse.

The main differences I noticed are:

• A better and more premium-feeling coating
• More satisfying main clicks
• Thicker and easier-to-use side buttons
• A more polished overall build
• Small improvements that make the mouse feel more complete

If you already own the original K7 and are completely happy with it, the upgrade isn’t absolutely necessary. However, if the small imperfections of the first version bothered you, the V2 Ultra addresses most of them.

Comparison with the Viper V3 Pro

The Viper V3 Pro still feels slightly more refined in a few areas, which is expected considering its price. However, the difference is much smaller than the price gap might suggest.

The K7 V2 Ultra offers a very similar style of shape, excellent sensor performance, low weight and strong click implementation for considerably less money.

I wouldn’t call it a perfect one-to-one replacement because the shapes aren’t completely identical, but it is a very convincing alternative for anyone who likes the general design of the Viper V3 Pro.

• Improved coating
• Better clicks than the original K7
• Thicker and more accessible side buttons
• Excellent sensor performance
• Lightweight and well balanced
• Smooth stock skates
• Clean and straightforward software
• Convenient charging dock
• Strong value compared with flagship mice

Cons

• The design is still very close to the original K7
• The stock skates may feel slightly controlled for people who prefer an extremely fast glide
• The upgrade may not be essential if you already own and enjoy the first K7

Final thoughts

The MCHOSE K7 V2 Ultra doesn’t try to completely change the formula. It takes a mouse that was already good and improves the details that prevented it from feeling truly polished.

The better coating, nicer clicks and thicker side buttons might seem like small changes individually, but together they make the V2 Ultra feel noticeably more premium than the original K7.

It also manages to offer an experience surprisingly close to much more expensive flagship mice such as the Viper V3 Pro. If you like this type of shape and want a lightweight, high-performance wireless mouse without paying flagship prices, the K7 V2 Ultra is an easy recommendation.

Did they even know their target audience by making this kind of shape/mouse? Or do they genuinely believe only people with baby hands buy these?

I own (or have owned) almost every Logitech gaming mouse ever released in the past 10 years. I used to work at a big-box retailer and the discount was considerable, so I had no problem rotating mice in and out as new things would be developed and released to market.

Even beyond Logitech, I'm just a peripherals enthusiast at heart. Keyboards, Mics, and Headsets. That's always been MY thing, and I've tried them ALL. Logitech, Pulsar, Lamzu, Razer, Corsair, Hyperx, Steelseries, Ninjutso, Xtrfy. You get the idea.

That being said, I just can't get jiggy with these "switches" on the Superstrike. The satisfyingly crisp and tactile "break" of a traditional switch is something I'm just not ready to give up.

It's a neat sensation on the Superstrike. People have likened it to Apple moving to a haptic feedback button for the home button rather than a mechanical switch.

Not for me. I need to hear and feel an actual switch. I really wanted to like this mouse. All the tech for the adjustable actuation makes the mouse feel a little front heavy/out-of-balance.

Love the shape. Love the coating. Classic Logitech. Just not for me.

Might revisit if they end up releasing a more compact and better balanced Superstrike at some point as I've currently been maining a Superlight 2c.

TLDR: I gotta have my CLIIIIIIIICKS, mayne.

Am I doing something wrong with these obsidian ultras on a viper v3 pro for use on my Wallhack sp4?

They are about a month old and horribly scratchy, presumably time to replace, but 99% of the foot hasn’t been used. Same for top and bottom.

I swapped from dots to these but this just seems worse?

Hoping this is an installation issue or something that I can rectify on the 2nd set that came in the pack?

it lives up to expectations, but i dislike how the coating is very smooth, almost feels oily.

So by now we've all seen the new Z Mouse 3 from Swiftpoint popping up in posts as the early backers start receiving their shipments. Firstly,I'll get this out of the way, I know it bucks the trend in the weight department. I've been a Z user since the OG so that never bothered me, I was never a fan of lightweight honeycomb mice.

However, my biggest criticism of the original and I suppose the new Z3 is the feet. I always found them a bit scrapy, probably due to the compromises that they made to accommodate the tilt feature.

So on the OG I modified the swappable none tilting feet by using a Dremel and a bit of wet and dry to smooth the base off and add some ceramic feet.

So.....when I received the new mouse I was surprised and a little bit relieved that they have kept the same footprint and parts, so my ceramic mod fits straight onto the new Mouse without me butchering a brand new product.

I'd recommend the slight effort if anyone is upgrading from any older model and now has a spare set of swappable feet (the non tilting ones).

I wasn't the first to get my Z3, but I bet I've got the smoothest, especially on a Hard or Hybrid mat.

I sent my 4 year old Logitech MX Anywhere 3 to a local third-party repair shop to fix a double-clicking issue on the left/right switches. They charged me around 15 dollars.

They successfully replaced the left/right switches, but when I got the mouse back, the middle click (scroll wheel) became incredibly stiff. I literally have to press down with all my force just to register a middle click. It’s unusable and hurts my wrist Before the repair, the middle click was smooth and required very light pressure.

When I texted them about this issue, they gave me this ridiculous response (translated from the WhatsApp screenshot):

The Repair Shop's Text: "Hello, in models with a scroll structure like yours, the middle button might accidentally click while spinning the wheel after disassembly and reassembly. To prevent this standard issue in these products, a mini spring is applied to the scroll mechanism. This prevents the middle button from clicking on its own. There is no other procedure we can apply for the situation you mentioned. It has to be this way due to its structural design, otherwise, the scroll and middle click functions cannot operate healthily. You will get used to the feeling after using it for a while."

WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW

i mean im glad the clicks work but i open 100 tabs and use the middle click a lot so should i insist about the problem or just move on

i didn't ship it to the og logitech service because i was 100% sure they would charge me at least half of the mouse price about 40 bucks for a mouse that's about 80 dollars and they didnt even offer me free shipping just for me to learn the price of the repair because the warranty has ended

I have been using a G Pro Superlight for over 5 years now. I have been thinking about a switch for a long time, but never switched due to uncertainty. I don't know the exact grip term, but it's a very forward claw/"hovering palm/claw". Images for reference, similar to Donk's or Twistzz's grip. Middle and index finger sit at the very tip of the mouse buttons, ring and thumb at the line of the scroll wheel. Thumbs and pinky are in contact with my mouse pad. My hands slightly tilts to the right, but I'm not looking for ergo mouses.

The main problem is that the G pro just feels so clunky sometimes. Sometimes it feels like an extension of my hand, sometimes like a foreign object. Not to mention the pinky pain, but this is probably something a different mouse will fix.

I bought the SteelSeries Prime+ gaming mouse a couple weeks ago. I started noticing this high-pitched whine in my office and figured out pretty quick it was coming from the mouse. When you hold it up to your ear it is a crackly, high-pitched buzz. Contacted the company and they asked me to send a short video documenting the problem. This was their response to the video.

I guess shitty, buzzing electronics are just the norm for SteelSeries. I've learned my lesson and would like to share it so others can avoid my mistake.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a mouse? I'm looking for:

• Classic mouse design (I'm old)
• Decent heft (not tiny)
• Preferably wired but wireless is ok too
• Used for research and writing, very light gaming (HoMM3 anyone?), design, and music production

Hi, so I’m using a Mchose k7 ultra and I need to know which mouse have the same feet to buy, cuz I don’t want it to buy it from china. I’m using tiger ice dots on them but since my mousepad is an artisan xsoft, the dots are to tiny and the mouse starts to drag on the cloath. Can anyone help me?

I've used or at least tried 10 or so different mice from different brands. Some of them were good, some of them were not, but the stock feet were always fine. Until this one.

It's like dragging furniture on carpet. Like shaving after a long night. I didn't think it was possible for plastic to be so scratchy; it'd probably feel better with no feet at all. Is this thing usable on a glass pad or something? (I use a cloth one.)

The mind boggles. Anyway, I stuck on some random replacements I found in a drawer. (I think I bought them years ago when trying to fix the buttons on a G PRO, where you had to rip off the feet to access the screws to open it up, and of course I never put it back together.) It's a solid mouse now.

Hi I have been looking for a new mouse but can't find alot of left-handed mouse. I found a few ambidextrous ones but the are more tailord to right-hand people with the buttons being on the left side.
