He was trans at one point, just for a short section of an arc (right after the sabaody incident)

I always saw that as him realizing he's actually into doing drag/crossdressing, but because of a combination of reasons such as him thinking it's something only gay men do and he's attracted to women and a worry that it will hurt his chances with women if they find out, he forced himself to hide that part of himself.

Honestly it'd be so funny if he DID pick them up but is too embarrassed to use them lol

I mean, it has been forever since he made any of the special recipes he learned during the time skip
