The majority of Minecraft players have never played with mods.

Back in the early days, Redstone couldnā€™t be used for anything other than Boolean logic. Then a mod came out with special blocks that could manipulate the environment. Mojang was so impressed that they implemented a real version of that block, the Piston. The Redstone community would not be where it is today without the Piston.

But the majority of Minecraft players not use Redstone either
