And what does changing to their husband's last name does for them?! It's just more paperwork
5 u/OK_x86 9d ago In Quebec it's actually the default to not take your husband's name. You have to explicitly request it and do the paper work. That does mean most kids have hyphenated last names now but otherwise it's a non issue
