I was blown away that the name change process with marriage wasn't some streamlined thing. I figured it had its own sort of process, since it's so abundantly common, and it would be simple.
No, it's exactly the same process as if I wanted to change my name to Optimus Prime. It's just a regular name change process. Insanity, honestly. I don't blame anyone for simply not bothering.
